Developer David Watanabe has informed MacDailyNews of the immediate release of NewsFire 0.5. NewsFire is an elegant and stylish RSS news reader for Mac OS X 10.3 that features a dynamic and animated user interface. This new release includes
enhancements such as the addition of a new title & summary list view, the ability to chain Smart Feeds together, the ability to hide subscribed feeds, and an improved search feature that allows as-you-type search of local articles, news sites, and blogs.
NewsFire is currently in a free beta release, but will ultimately be released as shareware. Bear in mind that features and design are very much in flux. That said, the application is very stable and totally usable.
