Apple has released iCal 1.5.5, an update to its bundled calendaring software. It includes improvements in iSync synchronization on computers running Mac OS X version 10.2. The update (7MB) is available via Software Update.

I really hope Tiger comes with iCal 2. It has so much potential, but it’s really basic right now.

iCal is beyond frustrating. A feature set from 1992 with a hook to buy ,Mac.
I really want a full program in Tiger, but v1.6 is more of the same. A new feature of two.
Hours of sending Apple feedback waisted. I hope they have something up their sleeve that they are saving for MWSF, but I highly doubt it.
I don’t know, I think Apple likes to be grandiose with their applications. So they might offer up a few slight updates, but nothing serious until a conference.
It’s December, everyone knows it’s time for a calendar update. Duh.
iCal is the absolute worst program from Apple — it doesn’t even seem like an Apple program. I don’t think it’s changed at all since it’s debut, and there are 10 other programs that have intuitive Task management — why has it taken so long for Apple to catch up? Is anyone happy with iCal?
I like the ability to subscribe to other calendars, but I hate the pastel colors and boring design. So many windows to open and close, and the only To Do list features are a nebulous priority icon… No ability to show different Task sets or sort in different ways. PLEASE Apple, wake up!
