The chief executive took off all of August and the better part of September to recover from successful cancer surgery and is working on a reduced schedule. Meanwhile, the company’s shares are trading near a four-year high, and investors are keeping their fingers crossed that rumors of better-than-expected sales of iPods and the company’s new iMac G5 turn out to be true. Analysts expect earnings per share of 18 cents–up from just 8 cents per share in the same quarter last year–on revenue of about $2.14 billion,” David Ewalt writes for Forbes.
