HP to debut ‘Apple iPod from HP’ TV ads during the MTV Video Music Awards

HP are to debut new television ads for the “Apple iPod from HP” during the MTV Video Music Awards in Miami on Sunday.

“Award-winning music video producer Paul Hunter directed the music ads to launch the Apple iPod from HP. New digital photography ads, showcasing photo printers, digital cameras and printers, are to feature French director Francois Vogel and the song ‘Picture Book’ from the Kinks,” American City Business Journals reports. “Judy McGrath, MTV Networks chairman and chief executive officer, joined Fiorina to announce a global strategic marketing partnership with HP as an official sponsor of the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards, not only in the United States, but also of similar programs in Latin America, Asia and Europe. HP said the MTV Video Music Awards is the most watched awards show among the 12-to-34 year-old age group and will be available to a potential viewing audience of more than 1 billion people.”

“To kick off their partnership, HP and MTV announced a global promotion called ‘You Are Your Music.’ At the end of September, the promotion calls for consumers in the United States to be able to enter to win a trip to the 2004 MTV Europe Music Awards in Rome by submitting a digital photo of an image representing “what music means to them.” The promotion will continue in Latin America, Europe and Asia, where the contest will launch around MTV’s award shows in those regions,” American City Business Journals reports.

  1. I’m sure that I’m not the only Machead who’s a big Carly Fiorina fan. It’s like she’s determined to kick Bill G.’s butt all ’round the world. What could be better? Go, girl.
