Apple releases GarageBand 1.1

Apple has released GarageBand 1.1 which addresses isolated performance and stability issues, allows per-track Echo settings similar to other effects, supports loop libraries in other disk locations, supports importing unprotected AAC audio files in addition to AIF and MP3 files, and addresses issues with ReWire support, moving GarageBand songs between different computers, Help support, fixing the timing of individual notes (as well as entire regions), and dragging entire tracks in the timeline.

GarageBand 1.1 is available via Software Update and requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later.

  1. OS X is in major trouble…

Simple html links can now be used to remove the contents of your home directory.

An onload script can be used to remove the contents of your home directory.

All with out any feedback from the user.

THIS LINK WILL EXPLOIT HELP TO RUN A SCRIPS TO…?

That just runs a harmless script (/usr/bin/du; exit) which scrolls a bunch of text and looks scary, but it could easily have been a script to wipe your home directory.

HELP ANYONE PAYING ATTENTION AT THE iPod factory !

  2. Can anyone tell me why SOS was allowed to post here? His post has nothing to do with this article and on top of that, his grammer is lousy. I thought these things are moderated.

  3. Korko: I don’t disagree that there should be a story about it. I am quite intrigued by how it worked. IMHO however, it is really not appropriate for someone to post something like this as a comment to a completely unrelated article. If SOS had posted in the articles from a couple of weeks ago relating to virus warnings and such, it would have been fine because it is somewhat related.

  4. I think this is entirely appropriate. It isn’t related, no, but it is rather important, so it’s right to draw people’s attention to it. It’s not like we can start a completely new thread here, we have to wait for the new story to be added.

How about spelling my name correctly if you are going to call me names like crybaby. I wasn’t saying that his comment wasn’t valid only that it seemed a little off topic since it has nothing to do with garage band whatsoever. I just think it would have been more appropriate to bring it up in an article having to do with a browser or all the so called warnings mac users have been getting lately. BTW, if you don’t have anything useful and mature to say, why not save us some time and keep your virtual mouth shut.
