iPod is a great companion for an active lifestyle. If you like to ski, cycle, snowboard, backpack, raft, rock-climb, or just spend time at the beach — iPod can put your life to music. But how do you keep the tunes rolling when there’s no place to recharge your iPod?
The Belkin iPod Backup Battery Pack is the solution. The backup pack plugs into and clips on to your iPod and runs off standard AA batteries. Just four AA batteries will power your iPod for 15-20 hours and keep the tunes rolling all weekend long.
The Battery Pack sells for $60, this week DevDepot has it in stock and on sale for 25% off — only $44.95 while supplies last.

Yuck. My 3rd gen iPod is big enough thanks.
Actually, I have to travel from NY to the Far East often and this battery pack is invaluable – my iPod never runs out and the extra size is fine on the plane and in the airport/hotel. It works very well.
Anyone know of a similar external battery pack for an “old” iPod, not the new ones with the Dock connector but the plain ol’ FiWi port?
Actually I already have this product. Looking at the iPod battery time I got it just to be sure I didn’t run out of juice. However, in actualy practice I think I have only used it twice ever (about 8 months) The 8 hour playing time is more than sufficient 99% of the time. I think the only advantage really to a longer playing time would be that maybe you could only charge it up every few days rather than every day as I do now.
