OWC announces 1.5Ghz G4 processor upgrades

  1. May be last year but it is a great way to add another year or two to that Digital Audio or Quicksilver. My 733 is running at Mercury Extreme 1.47 and i have no sleep issues and play Ut2003 and it looks great. and my 3 year old machine can smoke any brand new imac,powerbook,emac,ibook need i say more? maybe ill give it a 9800 and keep it one more year or two.

  2. Lack of DDR does not hurt the G4 PMs. The FSB never gave them a fat enough pipe to feed the ram.

    PowerLogix is saying we will get G5 upgrades some day too. They will suffer from a bottleneck for sure, but it should still make a QS or DA faster.
