iSync lets you manage your contacts, calendars, To Do lists, and Safari bookmarks across multiple Mac OS X computers and devices (such as an iSync-compatible mobile phone, Palm OS device, or iPod), so you always have your most current information with you. To sync a Palm OS device, you need to install the iSync Palm Conduit version 1.2 or later.
iSync 1.4 includes support for more Symbian OS smart phones and the iPod mini, as well as stability improvements.

If you are using Mac OS X version 10.3 and plan to synchronize a Bluetooth mobile phone, you need to have Bluetooth version 1.5 or later installed. iSync now has calendar, contact, and to-do synchronization for the Nokia 6600, 3620, 3660 and Siemens SX1. With these phones iSync also syncs the Address Book picture to the contact info, so you can see a picture of the caller when the phone rings. In addition, Mac users in Japan can now sync over 110 Japanese mobile phones when they purchase a third-party USB cable.

I have never used this before. Worth checking out? I don’t have a .mac account so I never bothered with it. I do have a palm. Now that palm (bastards) are discontinuing there desktop software for macs, I should probably look into it.

JJ: I think you’ll find that Markspace are going to take up the slack left when Palm pull out of Macintosh development.
In reality, you have to say that the only [B]unique[/B] thing Palm Desktop gives at the moment is the notes function! Everything else in a Jaguar+ environment is handled by iCal & Address Book.
In reality, you could argue that the Macintosh community will be better served by having the Palm functionality delivered through a dedicated Macintosh developer. One could also argue that having Markspace provide the PDA end of things will hasten support for Pocket PC PDA in OS X and iSync, given that they also produce Missing Sync for non-Palm PDAs as well.

Well, I can still iSync between PB12 and Nokia 7650, but I am still not able to get pictures off the phone since upgrading Bluetooth to the latest version 🙁 The phone does open a connection, and the File Exchange popup window opens on OSX, but it sticks on Calculating…., and goes no further. Anyone else got this combination working?

.Mac is Excellent thing. I paid 99� and and very happy with it. At the moment I am checking 1.8 gigs of free music to .Mac members. Don’t know yet if these are good or not. Those Keynote extras have been very useful and this iSync thing is simply great value. .Mac is a MUST have. Oh and I forgot backup utility. This .Mac goes way beyond anything your isp can offer. (Ofcourse you still need isp to connect to the Internet)
