MyDoom strengthens over weekend; Microsoft.com suffers effects

“The virulent MyDoom.b worm’s attack on Microsoft.com is beginning to gather strength, reports mi2g. The worm was programmed to begin attacking the software giant’s site February 3. Though that date passed with no discernible Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack, the assault has gathered strength over the weekend, the security consultants revealed this morning,” Macworld UK reports.

  2. Other than seeing on how many other’s email lists I am on, this myDoom is getting tired. Although my filters are correctly deleting all the infected emails, it’s fun to see the “most secure operating system” suffer at the hands of a simple email worm…oh wait, haven’t we seen this before…The horror, the horror.

    On a side note, I thought it was really cool that the iTMS had all the Grammy nominees available for download, contemporaneous with the show. Way to go Apple!

  3. Really, folks, this MS vulnerability thing is gonna cost us all money and convenience. I have given up being smug about me and Mac chillin� together at home. Now I hope all the services and businesses that I count on and use MS OS won�t be crashin� and burnin� when I need �em most. With MS OS there will be a lot more rainy days ahead.
