I used to run a Kaypro IV with a CP/M operating system… That was 1979 and it was a heck of a lot more stable than any Windows version I’ve seen since… including 2000Pro and XP.
For the last two years I’ve been Mac based, and I’ve never been so happy. I’d just like to forget about that W operating system that I was forced to use for a decade.
So, jfbiii: Go back to Windows… or are you just all talk?
From where did you get the idea that Apple has to give everything away free?
To create an update takes huge amount of work that costs money. When you buy a computer you make a budget for software and updates. Os X is way cheaper than Windows. Last year i bought .Mac ($99), Keynote ($99) and Panther ($129) this year iLife ($49). I am very happy with these. These apps have saved me money compared to Windows crap.( I can easily spend more than $100 if I go out on a saturday night. This money for these apps is money well spent.) I would be complaining about the prices if Apple software sucked and they had $52 billion cash and they would fight against viruses with posters.

lets not forget the added value of buying some of those free apps from Apple. I don’t have to open crappy cd’s when i buy a camera and i can definatly skip those demo discs i get as well since what i have works.
