Apple and Pepsi announced on October 16, 2003 that they would be giving away 100 million songs in specially-marked 20 ounce and 1 liter bottles of Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and Sierra Mist. The Pepsi iTunes promotion will kick-off with a Super Bowl ad on February 1, 2004, and will run until March 31, 2004.
“The first specially-marked [Pepsi iTunes] bottles are already making their way into circulation… with one reader (MacBoyX) buying an iTunes-marked 20oz Diet Pepsi bottle (and winning a song) in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania,” MacRumors.com reports.
MacRumors has photos of the winning bottle and cap here.
Shame they won’t be able to use those codes for another week. Hope they don’t lose the caps.
I wish Pepsi bottles fit in my cup holder like Coke’s do. Pepsi have that “fat” bottom, thus they get stuck in my cup holder and I splash it everywhere when I try to take it out. I guess it’s worth it a few tunes though ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />
put the lid back on when you are not consuming the beverage. then, it will not splash everywhere when you take it out of your beverage holder. problem solved.
Ingenious solution
