  1. There seem to be a couple issues.

There is a battery life/battery life reporting issue on power books (I haven’t seen anyone complain about ibooks).

The ethernet issue is the biggie. Apparently some ethernet cards in old Power Mac G4s have an Intel gigabit ethernet controller on them. This chip don’t like 10.2.8. Some Power Mac G4s don’t have this chip, this is why some people aren’t having the problem.

There is also an issue with printing from Acrobat 6.0 Pro, but this is likely just a minor bug in Acrobat and probably will be patched by Adobe to handle whatever broke with 10.2.8.

I would like to say, cut the folks at Cupertino some slack. They are busting there humps coming out with state of the art hardware, a new version of the most state of the art OS, and lots of cool apps (iLife stuff, iChat AV, etc.) and cool services (.mac, iTunes music store) all at once. I’m sure they’ll have everything running all hunky-dory real soon ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />
