The Paris Apple Expo gets underway next week, and Chief Executive Steve Jobs is expected to give another of his highly anticipated keynote speeches on Sept. 16. He rarely shows up for such a speech without several product announcements in hand. Rumor mills are focused on updates to Apple software, but Apple’s PowerBook line seems about due for some updates as well. We’re also close to the time that Apple should be announcing the next major update of its operating system, Mac OS X version 10.3, aka Panther.
