SlashDock updated to 2.3.6; get news in your Mac OS X Dock

SlashDock, now updated to version 2.3.6, is a simple Mac OS X Application that fetches and updates headlines for the lastest postings on slashdot-compatible sites and RSS-compatible sites (aka RDF) like BluesNews.com. Updates are obtained automatically, if new articles are available, the dock icon will flash with an image representing the article ‘topic’. Selecting an article from the dock menu will take you directly to that article in your preferred web browser.

Don’t forget to activate the “MacDailyNews” button in the SlashDock Preferences’ “Sites” pane; it’s already prebaked into the application, but you have to turn it on. Once you have MacDailyNews checked, our newsfeed will be active whenever you run the application.

SlashDock is free, but if you would like to make a donation, you can do so on the SlashDock website. More information and download link here.
