Miglia Technology has released 240GB, 400GB and 500GB versions of its FireWire Raid units. The units are dual bay external FireWire hard drives with cases made out of aluminum. They offer support for single drive use or Raid 0/1 and the ability to install up to two hard drives.
The 240GB (US$479) version ships with IBM 180 GXP 7200RPM drives (with 2MB cache), the 400GB (US$779) and 500GB (US$999) versions with Maxtor 7200RPM drives (and 2MB cache). The units boasts a maximum 400Mbps transfer rate, a silent cooling fan, and hard drive shock mounts. With FireWire connectivity, the units are compatible with Mac OS X (10.1 and higher) and Mac OS 9.1 and higher.
