  1. Wheww, I’m doing such a job right now, but this guy will have a hell of a job! Especially automating everything what can be automated…
I think it will be hard for the guy/girl who takes it.
I would like to see if it fits me, but I’m in Belgium, and so it will be hard for me to apply ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />
    Damn nice firm Pixar!

  2. The best part of the job is at the bottom of the Helpful Qualifications:

You bet this is a kiss-your-family-goodbye job!

  3. A friend of mine applied for an OS X position at Pixar last year and turned it down. The job he applied for (and got an offer for) required he wear a pager and be on call 24/7.

    Defintely a kiss-your-life-goodbye kinda job.

  4. In this day and age with the economy mostly down, I personally don’t mind having a job where I wear a pager and am on call 24/7. I also have a company cell phone. I like to think of it as a form of limited job security.

  5. they run various OSes and various hardware. At least a couple of flavors or *nix, to boot. this job posting, which has been up for a while, like S. Rice noted, doesn’t mean that they are converting all they have to X. It just doesn’t.
