OmniWeb 4.5 beta 1 browser for Mac OS X released

The Omin Group has released OmniWeb 4.5 beta 1. The beta version of OmniWeb requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later.

OmniWeb 4.5 beta 1 incorporates the open source WebCore and JavaScriptCore frameworks from Apple Computer Inc., bringing greatly improved support for the latest Internet standards like CSS, HTML, XHTML, and JavaScript to the award-winning browser. This release includes numerous other enhancements as well as many bug fixes.

  1. I too refuse to stray from Safari but I appreciate everything that Omni Group puts out there. It’s always top notch, innovative stuff. Other software companies could learn a thing or two from them (read: Microsoft).

  2. I’ll download it and try it, but I’m not expecting much. Their software is nice, and these guys have been pro-os x from the beginning (on the original OS X Server, they were the only browser available for a time).

    Personally I browse with Safari, and then when it crashes while accessing SSL or other secure sites, I fire up Camino.
