FileChute file sending application for Mac OS X updated

Anyone who has ever tried to send a file larger than a couple hundred KBytes by e-mail knows the pain. It would either flood your recipient’s mailbox or bounce right back to you.

FileChute is an application that makes sending files extremely easy. Simply drop the file in FileChute and paste the automatically generated link into the e-mail you’re composing. Send the e-mail. That’s it.

The recipient clicks on the link to download the file. Since no special software is required on the receiving end, it doesn?t matter whether your recipient uses a Mac or a Windows PC.

What’s New in this Version
– Added option of using either tar or zip for archiving folders.
– Added option to exclude .DS_Store files in folders. Since this file is Mac OS X specific, it is a good idea to exclude it when sending to non-OS X users.
– Added Delete Expired Files menu item.
– Added auto delete of expired files on startup (with confirmation).
