  1. Except most of that music was added last week or was already there! And what’s the deal with featuring Fischerspooner? I don’t think they have very wide appeal? Maybe I’m wrong, but it’s a little bizarre. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />

Yeah, heaven forbid the Apple Music Store carry anything other than the Top 40 and AOR schlock that makes up the vast majority of its catalog … can’t have that icky Dance Music stuff (that the rest of the world outside the US loves) taking up valuable virtual shelf space now can we???

  3. Brandon, Apple is trying to be somewhat open minded you know.. what purpose would it be featuring an already high profile artist like Eminem??? There are so many good artists out there that don’t get the recognition they deserve because of a smaller record label. Personally I’m tired of all the bands that I hear repeating every 10 minutes on the radio.. they already have too much airtime and “Featuring”.

  4. I was really excited to see Fischerspooner featured so prominently on the Apple Music Store. They’re a great, fresh sound. I hope this is a sign of things to come. Imagine all the cool new music we’re going to easily experience with such a convenient system!

  5. Maybe it’s just that I don’t care for Fischerspooner? Maybe it’s that I don’t like to dance? Maybe they should have featured Sigur Ros? ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />

  6. Um… I think a lot of people are missing one of the largest appeals of this system. People who create music and DJ parties love to have instant downloads at their fingertips. Any song they need is 99 cents and a click away. Of the 1 million songs sold in the first week, well over 200 were sold to me. And they were <almost> all dance (read: Techno). This is where the future is. America needs to get it head out of the rock and roll hole and get into the techno beat. The rest of the world has it figured out… dancing is fun! That is why DJs like me can charge $100/hr+ to play music at various types of ‘dances’. The Apple Music Store (during the first week) had a depressing dearth of Techno/Dance music… there were almost no Techno songs I wanted (yet I still bought 200). This needs to be an area of focus for apple. Sure the average user may buy one or two rock tracks… but I think they should cater to me… I’ll buy thousands, literally.
