PowerLogix today announced several new CPU upgrades for various Macintosh models. Most notable is the PowerForce Dual G4 1.2GHz for PowerMac G4s (from AGP to QuickSilver 2002 models.) PowerLogix also pledged continued support for the PowerMac G4 Cube with dual processors, which now include a revised DC board to support the additional power demands of twin CPUs. PowerLogix says they intend to offer the dual 1.2GHz in the Cube if it is feasible, although currently they are officially supporting a maximum of dual 1GHz for the Cube, pending final testing.
