The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group (lafcpug) along with leaders of the Boston, San Francisco, and Chicago FCP User Groups will gather for a very special “Meeting” at the DV Expo, Wednesday, December 11 beginning at 6:00 pm at the LA Convention Center.
On the agenda will be FCP Product Designer Brian Meaney and Apple’s Paul Saccone who will take questions and gather feedback from the audience on Final Cut Pro 3 and beyond. Cawan Starks of Promax will demo DeckLink from Blackmagic-Design. Digital Anarchy’s Jim Tierney will premiere 2 brand new plug ins for FCP: Psumani and Aurora Sky. Director Noah Kadner will show the results of a side by side video shoot he did with the new Panasonic DVX100 24P Camcorder and the Sony PD 150. Director of Photography Nate Weaver will present “If Ozzy Was My Dad (That Would Rock)”, a video produced with the new Panasonic DVX100 24P. Shot in one exhausting 19-hour day, with a crew of 3 and budget of $150, this video displays just how much production value can be had for the low-budget filmmaker.
There will also be a raffle with prizes totaling close to $4,000 including a copy of DVD Studio Pro donated by Apple Computer. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis and you must register to attend. For complete details on this event, please visit lafcpug’s web site.
