Microsoft debuts Mac Office v. X ad campaign

Microsoft’s Macintosh Business Unit debuted a new ad campaign today for their Office v. X suite of applications. “The ads, which portray Macs and PCs sharing a meaningful friendship, will launch in Macintosh, business, technology and design publications on October 12, 2002. The focus of the ads is on the importance of cross-platform compatibility and how Office v. X plays the important role of helping Macs and PCs to communicate,” writes Jim Dalrymple for MacCentral. As usual, when writing about MS Office, MacDailyNews reminds users that AppleWorks includes the ability to read and write Microsoft Word and Excel files. AppleWorks comes free with new consumer Macs and costs US$79.00 retail. More info here.
