You must be new here... :^)

Part of the reason MDN does this is that back in the late 1990s, you rarely saw Apple mentioned in the press without the word "beleaguered" in front of it. Even if it was good news, there was always the phrase "beleaguered" in there somewhere.

Yet with all of Gateway's troubles, the press never uses that term with Gateway.

It isn't so much of a "Ha ha, Gateway's doomed!", in my opinion, as a sort of "turn-about is fair play."

Even with all that Oprah pub, GM/Pontiac has sold about 6,000 G6's - considering that the #1 selling car a year sells about 600,000 - nobody cares or even knows there's a car called the G6 - which is frankly probably confused with the G35 from Nissan.

On the hand, the G6 moniker is now tainted and frankly because SIX is kind of soft ending word versus G-THREE, G-FOUR and G-FIVE, it makes sense to go away from it - G-SIX is just kind of wimpy sounding.

They will probbaly switch to a more "harsh" sounding letter like X - maybe the X6 but that might vbe confusing with the OS - well, you can sound it out yourself. Just find a cool letter that sexs up SIX.

Actually, I have the best answer: "G-Zuss"

Appeal to all those red-staters.

Aussie Monaros, the HSV GTO variety, has over 300kW of power which is roughly a bit over 400HP. My Father just bought a new one & he told me when he took me for a ride. Yes it goes very hard, much better than my little Mazda, but not as quick as his motorbike.

Actually I believe Apple have a similar agreement to that with the Beatles where they must never make any kind of hooded waterproof apparel.
