You've just given M$ a huge compliment since they've been doing this since before the release of WIN95.

We're talking at "least" eleven years here! Apple is at "LEAST" eleven years behind the power curve, and taking it's queues from M$.

Gates himself said, and he said it "YEARS AGO", that he would rather see pi raters pirating M$ products than something else for obvious reasons (It builds product knowledge, loyalty, technical skill), and Apple wasn't available to intel platforms at the time either so for those of you wandering in that direction forget it.

Gates, didn't and doesn't see Apple as a threat. So for those of you thinking in that direction forget it. Fact is Apple isn't a threat to M$. Google is a far bigger threat to M$ than Apple ever has been or will ever likely be.

And M$ has figured that out. To late, but it has figured that out. Apple still hasn't.

Apple is not innovative either. It's typically behind the power curve, like this pirating marketing scheme you're discussing that M$ has been leveraging to it's benefit for over a decade already.

Apple has woefully under performing hardware compared to intel machines, no matter how much it lies about it's machine's capabilities, but then again when you've got fanatic adherents to stupidity, stupid will do for explanations, so will outrageous prices for under performing products, but you buy, and they sell, then both of you lie, and you're both stupidly happy with your ignorant decisions. Them I can understand as the profit's in their pocket, you, not so much.

That's not up for debate. Apple buyers aren't the brightest cookies in the cookie jar, but then again not everyone can be on top.

It is what it is, and no attempt at rationalizing prices, apple's lies, and performance stats is going to change that.

About the only thing it does do well is creating plastic shells to cover technology already being done, and done better, and before it got hold of it in their "think tanks". Their only redeeming quality being looks, their ability to fool their customers into believing things like this pirating scheme are "... the most awe-inspiring stealth marketing move I’ve ever seen"
