Ignorant or careless! Spelling is "English", not "english". Good job on the word "French", except those who responded about the "french" and clearly they know more about the world than anyone else.

Dec 21, 05 - 01:39 pm Comment from: Clown Shoes

Dec 21, 05 - 01:47 pm Comment from: Nick

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but the anti-French sentiment stems from their refusal to assist us in the invasion of Iraq, yes?

I suppose they were not convinced that WMDs were a real threat.

Dec 21, 05 - 02:21 pm Comment from: Steves Job

It doesn't say EOL anywhere in that ad. It say "new model on the way, but not yet available".

Don't believe all you read.

Dec 21, 05 - 02:24 pm Comment from: Actually, Nick

The French were ENTIRELY convinced that Iraq had WMD. French intelligence (sic) backed up US intelligence completely, as did the intelligence services of all other developed nations. The French, in particular Chirac, were bought and paid for through Saddam's "Oil for Food" scam. They weren't alone in this, since Putin, the Germans, and anti-war Brit MPs were in the same boat. The truth stings, doesn't it?
Kate

Dec 21, 05 - 02:27 pm Comment from: Antoine

First of all I intentionally spelled the word french without a capital F. They are not deserving of correct spelling. 2nd of all the reason france wouldn't go along with the US in the war was because they were in bed with saddam along with the Russians and Chinese. The french finally got what they deserved when their own crazy muslim population turned on them. F the french weasels!

Dec 21, 05 - 02:31 pm Comment from: Antoine

and the wonderful germans as well. As Actaully, Nick said.

Dec 21, 05 - 02:32 pm Comment from: Clown Shoes

yes, there are many doubts as to the french and americans fighting indians and the English, yup never happened, in fact nothing ever happened before today, that is if there is a spelling error. nice logic kate, it clearly shows your well thought out view of american history. why don't you get a life. your worried about some one else SPELLING? you need to get laid bad. khjSBdkvjhbASDVKHJB ASD VKHJ ASK ha ha ha drives you nuts.

Dec 21, 05 - 02:39 pm Comment from: Nick

So if this anti-French sentiment is not from their refusal to assist our invasion of Iraq, what is it from?

Dec 21, 05 - 02:41 pm Comment from: Neil

Let's hope that Apple are really going to pull mew Intel based books out of the hat in January.

That would be really cool. It would set the stage for a stellar 2006 for Apple.

One thing though. We've only seen OS X work on P4 towers operating at 3.6 GHz. How well would the Yonah chips at 1.6 GHz fair? The dual core should help and also the faster bus (667Mhz vs 167 for the G4 books). Hopefully this will result in speedier performance over the current book offerings.

I'm looking for an ultralight to steal the show. Something the frequent traveller or high school kid could really do with.

Dec 21, 05 - 02:42 pm Comment from: yes, i have met the french

Dec 21, 05 - 02:59 pm Comment from: hey kate.

it's clearly left over hatred from "faux news" war on everything and everyone. the french used to be our friends,remember....... now all the sudden they are evil, what cuz they took sadam's money, oil ,biz etc........PLEASE, like the usa doesn't have bloody fucking hands on nearly every continent, country in the world. we propped saddam up, don rummy shook his hand after he gassed the kurds, stop fucking lying to your self KATE. America has killed more innocent civilians worldwide than the french could ever dream of, depleted uranium shells, carpet bombing, torture rooms, Willie pete, death squads in south america, god dam the list just keeps on going, but no, wait bill-o-lie-ly said we should hate the french cuz.... um.... they knew about sadams weapons too, the ones he um did not have actually, but he did, i swear, he hid them...........in france. yeah thats the ticket.... yeah just like bush knew OSAMO BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO STRIKE INSIDE THE US USING HIJACKED AIR PLANES and did nothing, NOTHING!!!!!! Our president Chirac don't want to do the IraK war for bad reasons (make money with Sadamm)

F-ck the French government. And f-ck MOST of the French people, too -- since their government is a direct reflection of their wishes as a people.

Buncha lazy, do-nothing layabouts. They'd be at home in Appalachia.

The French military. French intelligence. French hard work. French conviction. French ethics. French toast. French fries.

They're all oxymorons. And the French are too.

Dec 21, 05 - 03:08 pm Comment from: Nick

"the frog" -

Don't worry about this too much. Many people in the USA still (incredibly) think that there was a connection between 9/11 and Iraq. Many people here don't even remember that our case for invasion was "officially" justified by the threat of WMD, since they seemed to conveniently forget about all that when there turned out to be no WMD and no connection between 9/11 and Iraq.

The anti-French sentiment is based on fear and confusion, nothing more.

I still remember where the statue of liberty came from.

Moderators....? Hello..... moderators?? Are you there or not???

I read this site for the information about Apple and their products.

I don't come on here to be forced to read racist, childish, uneducated drivel - from jingoistic, knuckle-dragging, morons - who can neither spell, nor understand basic truths such as: The president lied to Congress and lied to us about the mythical WMDs, and is continuing to lie to us now.

Bush has now crossed the line by committing actions specifically forbidden by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). Passed in 1978 after the Senate's Church Committee documented in detail the Nixon administration's widespread use of U.S. intelligence agencies to spy on the anti-Vietnam war movement and other political dissidents, FISA "expressly made it a crime for government officials 'acting under color of law' to engage in electronic eavesdropping 'other than pursuant to statute.'"

So please.... all you flag-waving, zealots out there, watch out. Our precious liberty is being sacrificed on the alter of so-called 'security'. The French had it right, the Germans had it right, the Spanish had it right... in fact almost all of Europe was against this debacle in Iraq. Maybe opening your eyes might help.

Moderator, please moderate this site. Overt racism, like the above should be stopped. That's you jobs guys. Please do it and remove the racist posts!

Dec 21, 05 - 03:24 pm Comment from: Nick

sadly, the only people in here who will understand you will have a bit of an education, and they are not the racist ignorant ones.

I like your point that not all French people are from France.

Anyways, the "conservative" people (what are they conserving??) here tend to resort to name calling when they disagree with someone. Don't take it personally.

Dec 21, 05 - 03:32 pm Comment from: Kiss My American Ass

Hey, Nick -- Ha ha ha! Good one.

Now try and recollect that EVERYONE -- Democrats AND Republicans -- signed on to the WMD intelligence data.

And THAT DATA was put together by an intelligence apparatus that was systematically hobbled over the course of EIGHT years by that f-cktard BILL CLINTON. It was HIS adminiatration that crippled our intelligence apparatus -- that's why so many spooks left the intelligence services during his administration. Because all he f-cking cared about was getting his rocks off. F-ckbag. He should be EXILED to France.

Of course, I'm sure you also conveniently forget CLinton's speech from '98 wherein he warned the world that Saddam was a threat and he WOULD USE his weapons against others. Or perhaps you've also blocked out Senators Kerry and Kennedy and their claims about the threat of Saddam dating back to 1996!! Check it, a--hole, it's part of the Congressional record.

[Nigel Powers] There's only two things I hate in this world: Liberal revisionists who constantly bash America . . . and the French. [/Nigel Powers]

Our former Chancellor signed a mult-billion Euro natural gas pipeline deal with the Russians 10 days before the election he lost.
3 months after ex-Chancellor Schroeder is out of office it is announced he is the CEO of the Russian/German pipeline company (based in tax-free Switzerland) and is getting a salary of over $1 million a year!!!

Well, looking back it is clear that France was correct not to get involved with the USA invasion of Iraq, since everyone now knows that there was no valid reason to invade that country. Right? No WMD? No ties to 9/11?
