Hopefully Tiger takes gold in the slam-bam-thank-you-ma'am event.

I shouldn't have clicked on this story expecting to see live streaming is available. I'm too optimistic.

@rwahrens

NBC is the Official Licensed Broadcaster of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, CA. This allows NBC to use the Olympic Logos, Images and Name because as the Official Licensed Broadcaster of the Winter Olympics they have permission and a license. It's part of the Hundreds of Millions of Dollars NBC paid to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for the rights to be the Official Licensed Broadcaster of the Winter Olympics.

In fact over 95% of all Winter Olympic Coverage that will be broadcast around the world will originate from the NBC Feeds of the events.

The only things that will not come from a NBC Feed is the talking heads and the commentaries of the events that will be added in most cases by the local stations that have purchased local Broadcast license from the IOC.

If they don't force-feed figure skaters down my throat I'd might like this app. I can't stand all those "profiles" & sob-stories either. Show me COMPETITION!

@rwahrens

Are you stupid? NBC is the official broadcaster of the Olympics

Beautiful app. More than I expected and well laid out. Thanks NBC.

Feb 08, 10 - 06:50 pm Comment from: iWonder

When will NBC stream live events via app?

When they evolve..

Feb 08, 10 - 07:01 pm Comment from: RicMac

Actually this is not an NBC app, it says ATT on my download.

Feb 08, 10 - 09:09 pm Comment from: Ampar

They had a Special Winter Olympics but too many tongues got stuck to Poles. Ask Kowalski.

Feb 08, 10 - 09:22 pm Comment from: blah blah blah...

NBC had AT&T;make the app because they don't have enough money in their bank to make it. It all went conan and leno.

Feb 08, 10 - 11:40 pm Comment from: jjjj

Why bother, the damn olympics will be tape-delayed on most of the west coast, I bet...

NBC was already losing money on the olympics without jay or conan...

Feb 09, 10 - 12:42 am Comment from: GRANDxADMIRAL

@RicMac: There's two apps. One for NBC coverage, and an official Olympic App sponsored by AT&T;. I think.

Feb 09, 10 - 05:50 pm Comment from: Clever

Haha, just tried this app out as I live in Vancouver. "Video's are not available for users outside the United States". Hilarious! Epic fail. If your planning to attend the games and reference this app, forget it. Doesn't work in Canada.
