Tuesday, June 02, 2009 - 05:55 PM EDT

"Apple has reportedly placed contract orders for the production of the third version of iPhone, which is available in three different communication standards, including EDGE (enhanced data rates for GSM evolution), 3G and China's related standards, and is scheduled to be officially launched in China early July. The firm will contract local telecom companies to jointly promote the newest handset or netbook PCs, showing its determination to explore the market," Steve Chuang reports for Taiwan Economic News.

Jun 02, 09 - 10:30 pm Comment from: You know NOTHING about China

There is nothing wrong with China Telecom. They are more reliable than most western telcos and offer faster data connections. It's fantastic to see the iPhone finally come here. Currently in China, we have EDGE, International 3G, and in limited areas the China 3G.

Its so amazing to see how ignorant Americans are about China, Asia and the world in general. In case you don't know, going to Mexico or Canada is not traveling overseas :-p

Thank you, Mrs. Pelosi!
Now we know why you REALLY went there!!!

This is another example of how the Democrats will end the trade deficit, and put a stop to the tired old idea of strict regulations placed by the Bush regime to stifle domestic production.

Did I hear Cuba was in her travel plans?
I'm sure it's more than a stopover on her way to Venezuela.
Fly on, baby, fly on!

Gosh that might increase their market share and profits. How will the stock market react to that?

Seems rather hypocritical to accept all your products being produced in China nice and cheap for you consumption and then stand on you soap box about the the rights and wrongs of doing business on their own soil. Time and time again we see businesses and consumers refusing to pay more for home produced goods while feeling free to mouth off with sham morality in this way. Until they put their mouths where their pockets are its best to see such words for what they are.

The expected date will again be pushed back... blah blah blah... It'll never be released in China by the sounds of it

Jun 03, 09 - 10:27 am Comment from: Unlocked iPhone ALREADY in Hong Kong SAR, PRC

If you just cant wait for one in Mainland China, then its simple. Go to the online Apple Store for Hong Kong and order one and have it delivered to a friend's house in HK. It comes completely 100% unlocked for use on ANY carrier. I have two myself.

Locked phones... what a total JOKE!

As for the Democrat-Republican nonsense... get a CLUE. They are BOTH the SAME group of rich people controlling you. Freedom in America is an illusion.
