Apple updates Xserve RAID to 10.5TB storage
Wednesday, January 24, 2007 - 10:40 AM EDT

"Apple has updated its Xserve RAID storage system, raising its capacity to up to 10.5TB [US$13,799] with the release of new high-capacity 750GB drives," Jonny Evans reports for Macworld UK.

Evans reports, "Xserve RAID drives are hot-swappable. The system itself accompodates fourteen drive enclosures; until now the drives were only available in 500GB maximum capacity."

"Apple will be selling the higher capacity drives separately, allowing customers of the older 7TB Xserve RAID to update," Evans reports.
