I like how the dialog boxes have been Aqua-ized. The first alpha versions still had that X11 look. I wish they could do this to Gimp and Inkscape.

Now they need to get an aqua-style icon!!

Aqua? Why? Aqua is so 2001. Why hasn't the GUI gone Pro? Why are we stuck with an interface that looks like it's designed for toddlers. Stupid blue candy buttons. Blech.

Open Source apps, particularly Open Office, can help insulate Apple from unresponsive or perhaps hostile to the Mac, in Microsoft's case, software vendors. If MS holds back, they will only be screwing themselves.

Open source is good for Apple.

The interface looks pretty decent.

Too bad its Aqua...but its free.

When Microsoft copy ideas from others, they get slammed for it. When the open source world spend man years generating a practical clone of Office from the mid 1990's everyone applauds. Go figure.

For those of you are looking for a better looking version of GIMP, check out Seashore: http://seashore.sourceforge.net/download.php. It is in a very early state right now, but with time (and a little help) it could become a great, full-featured app.
