Privacy matters: New Apple ad highlights iPhone privacy protections

A new Apple ad promotes iPhone’s privacy protections.

The description for “Privacy on iPhone — Private Side” on Apple’s YouTUbe channel states:

Your privacy matters. From encrypting your iMessage conversations, or not keeping a history of your routes in Maps, to limiting tracking across sites with Safari. iPhone is designed to protect your information.

MacDailyNews Take: More like this, please!

Apple should be running a massive ad campaign that clearly explains how they stand apart from virtually every other major Silicon Valley company when it comes to privacy and monetizing users. Every time there is a breach or an abuse at Facebook, Google, etc. Apple should be ready to pound their privacy message into the general public’s exceedingly thick collective skull.MacDailyNews, April 10, 2018

The more people are educated about unchecked data collection and the more who value their privacy, the better Apple’s sales will be. Today, it’s literally Apple against the world.MacDailyNews, July 14, 2017

    1. Censorship is a legal term that is correctly applied to governments who eliminate private publications and communications. You are incorrectly applying it to private enterprise, to Apple, so it can eliminate — not censor — as much stuff as its Capitalistic interests and its consumers permit.

      1. It also applies to a public corporation that conveys the message it makes a product for everyone, for the masses. It applies to a company that has always claimed to believe in freedom of expression, of political debate. So if you are saying that Apple is like a restaurant or hotel in the Deep South in the 1950s that said, we are a private enterprise and we don’t have to serve blacks, well, I guess that’s an argument you can make. That was the Democrat position then. But Steve Jobs always aimed a lot higher than censoring ideas.

  1. LOL, Apple implies that it’s not for open borders. That’s good news; It makes Apple more appealing to Right-wingers who are important Apple gadget buyers.

Samsung could release an apposite commercial.

  2. The day Apple’s business begins to slows down to the point where they are strapping for cash lets see if they still try to project the image of a company concern with iphone users privacy and resort to bombarding us with adware or come up with some reason to start releasing our personal data to developers as a way to reign in much needed revenue via ads……….um….😏 Probably already doing that.
