Apple’s 6.1-inch iPhone XR review: One month later

“iPhone XR has been out for just over a month,” Rene Ritchie writes for iMore. “After doing my initial iPhone XR review, I’ve still been using it alongside and alternating with an iPhone XS. For the last few days, though, I’ve instead been using it alongside and alternating with an iPhone 6s.”

“Why a 6s? ” Ritchie writes. “Because I wanted to get a sense not just of how cool the new colors are, though they are, or whether the display and camera system were dealbreakers compared to the iPhone XS, which really depends on the individual, but how much of a difference the upgrade will make to a real person in the real world.”

“A lot of people considering the XR, people who don’t get a new phone to review every couple days, weeks, or months, have been using the same phone for a couple or few years already. That’s the 6s,” Ritchie writes. “Maybe the 6, SE, or 7. But mostly the 6s. And, if that’s you or someone you’re close to, I want to take my head out of the tech bubble for a minute and put myself in your shoes.”

  1. Another day, another total b!tchslapping of AAPL by investors.

Relentless, wholesale liquidation of Apple shares by the largest investors and institutions.

Hard to believe but at one point, Apple was the largest market cap company in the world.

Today, it’s barely holding onto third place.

350 billion dollars of wealth wiped out.

All thanks to the feckless leadership of Pipeline.

    1. So you’re blaming Tim Cook for the entire market correction, interest rate hikes, Trump idiotic Tariff & other stupidity, as well as the fake negative supply chain lies, rumors and literally all that’s wrong in the world right now….. duuuhhhh

      1. Listen up cretin. AAPL has fallen more, far far more, than the overall market. Why? Because investors see the company is run by a hack CEO named Pipeline.

It would be nice if AAPL just fell at the market rate. Has the NASDAQ fallen 22+% in the last 5 weeks? Nope. Not even close. Barely 10%. AAPL has broken the 20% decline and is STILL dropping hard.

        That is because of Pipeline.

  2. XR is a great phone. I have been testing my wife’s new XR alongside my 6s as well. My conclusion is that its too big in my pocket, just a little too big in my somewhat large hand, but I love the all screen-factor. So I have decided on a X or Xs, depending on the best deal I can get for either one, so I can have the the body size of the 6s. Its too bad I feel XR is too big, ’cause the price is certainly right.
If the XR were as thin as my 6s, that may have swayed me to XR. The thickness is a big reason its not comfortable in my jeans pocket.

    1. I agree. I had talked myself into the larger size, compared to my ‘6’, but the thickness of the XR made it seem clunky compared to the 6 or the XS. I decided to wait another year, since the 6 is working nicely.
