Facebook fired top exec Palmer Luckey for supporting Donald Trump for President

“Facebook Inc. executive and virtual-reality wunderkind Palmer Luckey was a rising star of Silicon Valley when, at the height of the 2016 presidential contest, he donated $10,000 to an anti-Hillary Clinton group,” Kirsten Grind and Keach Hagey report for The Wall Street Journal. “His donation sparked a backlash from his colleagues. Six months later, he was out. Neither Facebook nor Mr. Luckey has ever said why he left the social-media giant. When testifying before Congress about data privacy earlier this year, Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg denied the departure had anything to do with politics.”

“Mr. Luckey, it turns out, was put on leave, then fired, according to people familiar with the matter. More recently, he has told people the reason was his support for Donald Trump and the furor that his political beliefs sparked within Facebook and Silicon Valley, some of those people say,” Grind and Hagey report. “Internal Facebook emails suggest the matter was discussed at the highest levels of the company. In the fall of 2016, as unhappiness over the donation simmered, Facebook executives including Mr. Zuckerberg pressured Mr. Luckey to publicly voice support for libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, despite Mr. Luckey’s yearslong support of Mr. Trump, according to people familiar with the conversations and internal emails viewed by The Wall Street Journal.”

“Mr. Luckey, who is 26 years old, hired an employment lawyer who argued to Facebook that it had violated California law, according to people familiar with the conversations, in pressuring the executive to voice support for Mr. Johnson and for punishing an employee for political activity,” Grind and Hagey report. “Then Mr. Luckey and his lawyer negotiated a payout of at least $100 million, representing an acceleration of stock awards and bonuses he would have received through July 2019, plus cash, according to the people familiar with the matter. The stock awards and bonuses were a result of selling his virtual-reality company, Oculus VR, to Facebook in 2014 for more than $2 billion, a deal that netted him a total of about $600 million.”

“Mr. Luckey has been a longtime supporter of Mr. Trump and wrote a letter to the then-reality-television star in 2011 urging him to run for president. Mr. Luckey has told friends that reading Mr. Trump’s book The Art of the Deal at age 13 sparked his entrepreneurial imagination,” Grind and Hagey report. “After the incident, Mr. Luckey became more, not less, political. One month after he left Facebook, he hosted a fundraiser for Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas. He has since founded Anduril, an Orange County-based tech company focused on using artificial intelligence to protect troops, performing search-and-rescue missions and bringing ‘Silicon Valley thinking and funding to defense,’ according to its website.”

    1. First of all, nobody knows the whole story.
Second, it’s a stretch to call any 26 year old virtual goggle seller a rising star of Silicon Valley. Real rising stars don’t work for Fuckerberg.
Third, this is a Fuckbook issue, not a Silicon Valley issue. Fuckerberg almost certainly wanted Palmer out because of drastically differing visions for the future of Oculus tech.
Fourth, Fuckerberg would be happy to use any technicality of labor contract to stab someone in the back. To use the worn out phrase, “it’s in his DNA”. It is Palmer’s own fault that he joined such a corrupt social network in the first place.

I don’t see why this is posted on a supposedly Apple news page. This has nothing to do with Apple or other Silicon Valley companies, most of which are socially progressive but fiscally conservative or libertarian. Palmer’s opinions don’t get him in trouble with anyone else in the Valley.

Of course that won’t make for exciting press so MDN, despite pretending to believe the Trumpist bullshit that all press is evil, is happy to repeat speculation from those that don’t know the inside story. MDN is just baiting for clicks again. Worse, MDN being a Facebook user outs itself as a hypocrite once again. Facefuck is its own virus without a known cure. No for profit company can avoid the temptation to use it, no political organization including MDN can resist it. So let’s see:

      unbridled worship of liberal Apple.
Google Adsense covering up 50% of your screen right now.
MDN has a Facebook page linked from its homepage

If MDN hates liberal California so much, why does it base all its income on them?

      1. Mike the liberal zealot opined : “First of all, nobody knows the whole story.”

He then contradicts himself by blabbering: “Fuckerberg almost certainly wanted Palmer out because of drastically differing visions for the future of Oculus tech.”

Which of course he has no idea if that’s the truth or just made up in his liberal pee brain.

He also foamed at the mouth and stated: “Second, it’s a stretch to call any 26 year old virtual goggle seller a rising star of Silicon Valley.”

A 26 year old creates a company and then sells that company to FB for $2billion dollars. I’d call that a rising star.

What has Mike the liberal zealot done other then live in his mom’s basement and scratch himself all day.

        1. Well said, Dave. Mike the partisan liberal zealot is so far off base it defies reason, facts and maturity.

His first sentence nobody knows the full story is ludicrous. The implication that facts are somehow hidden that would change the outcome is laughable. His second sentence the guy is not a rising star, now that is really important and I’m sure all the lawyers that negotiated a settlement put that mischaracterization at the top of their list. These are the only two points that address anything in the story.

After that, 98% of his post is very defensive, deflective personal opinions designed to take our eyes off the ball and NOT discuss the facts. Example número uno: “It is Palmer’s own fault that he joined such a corrupt social network in the first place.” Oh, so it’s Palmer’s fault he was discriminated against by his employer based on personal political beliefs. What’s next, blame the woman for being raped because she dressed sexy.

Facts in synoptic fashion: Palmer makes a donation to a group supporting the Trump campaign; backlash from colleagues and e-mails discussed at highest company levels; Zuckerberg and employees pressured Palmer to publicly voice support for another candidate; Palmer put on leave; Palmer fired; Palmer lawyer negotiated a $100 million payout for violating his rights under California law and lastly, Zuckerberg denies politics had anything to do with the firing before Congress. Simply unbelievable! …

        2. Goeb you a ducking fidiot. Facebook board member Peter Thiel spoke in support of Trump at the Republican National Convention without blowback from the rest of the board. You have no reason to believe Luckey was terminated for his Nimble America troll farm. If he was, who the fuck cares. Only the alt right troll farm sweeping to a homeschooled loser millionaire.

On this clickbait site it’s apparent you and the other trumpanzee trolls have blind loyalty to all things branded conservative, republican, whatever. You gave up independent thought long ago in order to join your club. No principles are ever discussed or explained. Attack attack, divide and label and attack again.

National pride would be honorable it it wasn’t based in such bullshit. Trump declares refugees invaders, you believe it. Trump brands all non-christians to be terrorists, his followers eat that too. Sorry buddhists. You’re branded libs now. Moderate republicans, they too are pilloried. Slap a RINO label on them. There can be no middle ground.

In your delusional state everything is bipolar. If only the world was so simple. Do you honestly believe everything is black and white?

As a moderate independent i face the scorn of both camps daily. In person it is easy to simply ask the belligerent extremist for the data. They never have any, but they withhold their insults because they know they are unarmed. No so online. Asking for facts from an extemist online only throws up the mayday tag for like minded trolls to join the fray. The paraniod extremists of can’t be bother to use facts to justify beliefs so the insults fly fast. here on MDN the Apple news has totally been replaced by Russian Troll Farm bullshit. So much easier to just be a mindless stooge for the cause than to report Mac news.

This isn’t about liberal and conservative. It’s just gang versus gang. Labels are meaningless.

If any employee of mine spent his time funding a troll farm that attacked approximately 50% of my potential customers I would cut him loose so fast your head would spin. Not because I am a liberal. If you can’t figure that out, you seriously need to look at your own actions.

        3. Man you truly are a hopeless lost case. (Lame insult)

You give conservatives a worse name than they deserve! (Shoe on other foot has exact same meaning)

but im not complaining. (Grammar not a strong suit. Home schooled?)

          Just sayin (meaningless blather)
Keep it up. (Of course, the veiled threat at the end. Nice!)

        4. “If any employee of mine spent his time funding a troll farm that attacked approximately 50% of my potential customers I would cut him loose so fast your head would spin.”

Let’s hope justice catches up with you, then prevails after your employee sues you for violating his or her free political speech rights, deserving a fine or settlement in the millions. Fingers crossed after the negative publicity you lose more than “half your customers” because of political discrimination.

As to the rest of your incoherent post Voice of Confusion, you claim to be a moderate independent. Nonsense, your own words betray you over and over again. Rife with negative stereotypes and labeling of the Right exclusively. Hypocrisy follows you accuse only the Right, never mention the Left, and your false pretense you are above it all and pure as the driven snow is laughable.

Your company much like Facebook practices the same discrimination of the Right. You too are part of the problem and not the solution. You don’t even realize it, pity…

        5. Hold on Dave.

I am no fan of Mike’s tirades but what are you offering?

Luckey was canned from Facebook in 2017 and he had his attorney use any tools at his disposal to claw more money out of Zuckerberg. Has Luckey spent the last year declaring his “investments” in political causes were the reason for his dismissal? No, Luckey said no such thing.

If politics is the reason to fire somebody, don’t you think it would have been when it was discovered in the 2016 election how much extracurricular political stuff Luckey funded?

I sincerely doubt you have any more idea than Mike the full details leading to Luckey’s unlucky day.

What you chose to do however is make an ass of yourself attacking another person with unfounded political accusations. Nice job. I hope you feel better getting all that hate off your chest.

      2. Your right Mike. So sick of MDN being just a hateful political sewer.

Palmer goes by the screen name nimblerichman on Reddit. The fat fuck has nothing better to do than troll for Trump, no wonder he got his fat nimble ass fired.

Doesn’t matter what side of the great divide he is on. Political trolls deserve to be fired.

        1. Stated in typical Lib manner.. Bravo.. Bravo 👏
So progressive.. so elite.. so sophisticated, polite and tolerant!

Thanks you for the insight and confirmation!

        2. “So sick of MDN being just a hateful political sewer.”

That’s easy to accomplish. If you and Mike pitch in to help and stop posting your liberal hate here almost daily, well over 50% would be gone overnight. Thanks in advance…

        3. Over here in Australia we see Mike and Realist’s posts are more rational and factual than your posts. Why is everything scirched earth politics for you Trump supporters?

      3. “rising stars don’t work for Fuckerberg.”

“Fuckerberg almost certainly wanted Palmer out”

“Fuckerberg would be happy to use any technicality of labor contract to stab someone in the back.”

But you have absolutely no problem he fired a Trump supporter, RIGHT? Zuckerberg may have violated California law if a $100 million settlement was not approved. In fact, you repeatedly demonized Palmer in your post, insulted his success and gave him no benefit of a fundamental fairness and his RIGHTS under the law. Wow.

You can’t have it BOTH WAYS, Mike. Congrats, your most hypocritical post of ALL time…

    2. “VR has the potential to make internet communication more heartfelt and real. But Palmer has decided to use his capital to support a fucking meme factory that delves online discussion into racist, angry, anti-intellectual bullshit.”

    3. I’m an avowed liberal through and through, and if that’s all there is to it, and if indeed it’s true, I condemn that with every cell in my body.

Just as I would for every coercive Republican company that made execs give money to their PACs, charities, attend political events, and even root for the right football team. And yes, they expect your vote too.

      1. Well it’s not all there is to it. Large numbers of Oculus users and developers voiced strong dissent with ‘their’ money via profits being funneled to a Trump organisation, threatening a boycott, selling off and destruction of Oculus equipment. There are many Facebook discussion groups loudly condemning the “utterly toxic” work atmosphere around him.
So it seems Facebook toook a pragmatic decision to can the guy before the whole division went down the plug hole.

        1. So, for instance, should a company in Indiana demand you register as a republican, so that the locals don’t boycott?

When a firm employs you, ostensibly it’s to perform work. As much as I can’t stand Trump, but lost profits are the company’s problem. The employee did not surrender their rights. Or maybe they did…

I do understand that “at will” employment generally applies, and the employee is not part of a “protected group” which would exempt him. Not saying he should be part of a protected group, maybe there should be “protected behaviors”.

Anyway, it’s all moot. He had a contract.

  1. Viva liberal/dem open minded, progressive, democratic, tolerant mind set!

As i have written before many times:
Liberal/democratic is one if the biggest misnomers for this Party !
    Its exactly the opposite!
Proof in the pudding ..From violance to bigotry and intolerance, my way or the highway attitude!..
    Wolf in sheep’s skin!

    1. Not at all. Protected under “at will” employment. Unless you are protected by a contract, collective bargaining agreement, or are part of a “protected group” you can be fired for any reason or no reason at all.

  2. The trends are clear. Society has been on an upward socially liberal loop for decades. Over the years, people have become much more open minded on a range of issues. Just look at (gasp) Gay marriage.

It really doesn’t seem to matter who’s in charge, the more time that passes, the more liberal our society becomes.

    1. Don’t confuse that kind of liberalism with what passes as liberalism today.

You suggest greater tolerance, which is good. What we are faced with today is not tolerant liberalism. It’s contemporary liberalism or progressivism.

These people are not liberals. They are collection of various groups. They are socialists, communists, democratic socialists, radical environmentalists, 3rd wave feminists, PC fascists, anti-free speech thugs, black nationalist racists, America haters, anti-border people, anti-constitution types, violent left wing terror groups like ANTIFA, bozo leftists like Maxine Waters, Bernie Sanders, and Ocasio-Cortez, and so on. They believe bigger government is the solution to all societal issues. I.e. less freedom, more government. This would never have come from classical liberals.

They value equality over freedom, they will sacrifice truth for what they perceive to be social justice, they prefer group identities to individualism, economically they are in favor of redistribution over growth, they promote victimhood and diversity as the foundation for their collectivism as opposed to cultural unity, education, success, and achievement.

Liberals of the past were completely different people. These days they are called classical liberals. Classical liberals were people of similar mindset to the founders. They valued freedom above all else and would not consider sacrificing it as easily as so called contemporary liberals do.

“Progressivism” has been growing in the country and globally for some time now. In America, The Obama Administration was the dog whistle for every kook with a grudge against America to join in on the absurdity.

And Ironically, we’re growing more racist only the racism is against white people, more sexist only the sexism is against men, and far less tolerant, only the intolerance is against anyone who doesn’t agree with the left’s agenda.

        1. Theodore Roosevelt was a progressive. The shitheads on MDN who proclaim all evil is “lib” are not qualified to carry TR’s spare eyeglasses. Fucking paid trump trolls.

        2. Yup. On the other hand, it’s heartening to read such a list of irony free gobbledygook bombast that tells me the poster harks back to a magical (but never did truly exist) time, when folk knew their place – particularly the working class and women were shackled to the kitchen too frightened to speak up. Kindergarten thinking in denial of inevitable change.
          Aww bless!

      1. Call it what it is: Leftism, a love for an impossible utopia that has no blueprint, while urgently destroying the existing pillars of society in the belief that their goal cannot be reached from where we stand now. A state of anarchy must first prevail. Of course just about any society arising from anarchy would seem pretty darn good. Those on the far Left cannot let stand those with a differing opinion or perspective. Minds that differ are to be coerced and combated, not persuaded. Democrats are no more all Leftists than Republicans are Deplorables. Liberalism is not Leftism. In fact, I personally do not know any Republicans or Democrats that are not socially Liberal. Labels are in constant flux. Our very Liberal JFK celebrated by Democrats in 1960, today would not be embraced by his party due to most of his views and policies. The problem that I see with most Democrats and self-proscribed Liberals is that don’t understand the nature of, or admit to the existence of the very corrosive far Left in their own party. Instead, Liberals rail against Alt-Right or the Religious Right like they are some powerful cabals ready to steal America and roll the clock back a century or more. These groups are in fact very small and wield no real power at all. I would respect Liberals more if they would simply recognize that they have far more to fear from the far Left in their own party than than the impotent bad guys hanging out is the dark corners of Conservatism.

        1. As usual, your views are bracing. I don’t need to agree with you to be taken aback by your strong presentation. In fact, I do agree. When people overstate their case, especially when they are elected representatives, I worry more than I am outraged, because whatever they say has an outsized, amplified effect on their listeners. Listeners seem too easily corralled and fired up, so easily that they seem like zombies or programmed Manchurian candidates. Of course, gaming the system has always been the name of the game, hasn’t it? It’s just — it’s gotten too easy, almost like people’s real opinions don’t matter any more because you can shape them or fake them.

That’s why I don’t use WordPress’s bullshit voting system. To this day, if I approve or disapprove of someone’s comment, I express it in literal language. That’s not as convenient as clicking on a Like button or a Rating star, but it constitutes honest communication. Votes can be faked. My literary rebukes, not as easily.

        2. Your argument about “leftists” might be more persuasive if it weren’t for the fact that they have no power in this country. You ignore the mote in your own eye by pretending the religious right has no power. You’ve obviously never been to Texas if you think that. It’s the far right that is corrosive of what are supposed to be our values. They would destroy any value to hold onto power (just look at McConnell, the ridiculous “investigation” of Kavanaugh, the religious make-up of the Supreme Court, the make-up of the Senate, and until January, the make-up of the House of Representatives, who have all failed to be a check on trump’s insanity). That’s a lot to ignore the call out the “far left.” Exactly which levers of power are the Far Left controlling? If the far left had any power, we’d have universal health care. THere’d be limits to the power of money in politics. You talk about Kennedy not being embraced now by his own party. That’s a poor standard to make your point. Would Eisenhower be embraced by your party? What about Reagan?

      1. If I understand you correctly, you are making the valid point that liberals act a certain way, but extremist conservatives slap the “lib” label on anything that gets in the way of their greed or power grab. Real liberals aren’t guilty of a tiny fraction of what the Trumpists accuse them of. Things like a women’s right to vote, an African American’s right to vote, a muslim’s right to exercise his religion as guaranteed by the Constitution, clean air, clean water — a big chunk of these liberal causes were once core to the Republican platform. Not anymore. Greed and avarice have trumped justice and honor. Pun intended.

To the self proclaimed conservatives here: the republican party left me, not the other way around. You need to recognize the difference between principled conservatism and the self serving swamp creatures that call themselves republicans today.

  3. I have often wondered why self professed liberals call conservatives the “haters” when they are the ones that hate anything not like them or doesn’t think like them.

    1. Who said anything about “hate”? You can fire someone without hating them. Meanwhile hundreds of republicans marched on Charlottesville shouting Nazi slogans. They beat up people who challenged them and they killed a young woman with a car. And then trump said there are good people on both sides. Which one of the Nazis were “good people”?

      1. Wrong on that account. D’nesh D’Souza interviewed Richard Spencer, the leader of the white supremacists and found that his views were antithetical to the GOP platform. He does not believe in all mean being born equal, believes in the collective community rather than rugged individualism and that the state, not God, is the one who dispenses rights.

White supremacists are essentially Woodrow Wilson racist progressives.

    2. This is simply untrue. I’m liberal and still have conservative friends. A few deeply so. This is what happens when we stay in our own respective bubbles. no one knows fuck all about the other.

    3. Yes, the absolute truth and core of their hypocrisy. Proof can be found above in @Realist post, which is anything but real. Too much caricature stereotypical hate and he doesn’t remotely realize it…

    4. I have often wondered why self professed conservatives call liberals the “haters” when they are the ones that hate anything not like them or doesn’t think like them.

      1. I don’t hate you, or anyone. It takes far too much energy. I simply cannot comprehend you, and have a strong suspicion that you really don’t know very many conservatives.

      2. Progressives almost universally conflate “disagree” and “hate;” this is almost never the case from the conservative side. Disagreement is GOOD; it means that we have something to discuss, to see WHY we disagree and how we can resolve those disagreements for everyone’s benefit.

Please note that conservatives are NOT the ones who demanded control of the entire Congress as a prerequisite for civility.

    1. Stevejackass:

Way to put your words in other people’s mouths then brag about how great you think you are.

Your site is a clickbait shithole of google ads. How fitting you would bitch about liberals while sucking the teat of the most flaming liberal company in the world.

    2. The Constitution only defines the relationship between the government and the individual on speech issues. You cannot be jailed for speaking, unless you are using speech to commit a crime.

In other words, you cannot be jailed for being an asshole, it you can be socially shunned. Who does more shunning than anyone? Conservatives! Especially religious conservatives.

  4. Law, fairness, differences – these things do not exist in the mentality of the lefist extremist. I wish i could say I am surprised; I will say that it makes me very sad. The fascists of the left in America are a disgrace.

    1. Exactly, because being a conservative fascist is just honky dory with you. Give me a break. What the hell is a liberal fascist? It’s a made up bogeyman produced by alt right trolls. Real libs are too weak and effeminate to force others into anything.

Politically speaking, every autocrat, every dictator, every war criminal, every fascist, every zealot is as extreme right as you can get. Not sure about how sexually liberated some of those pukes were however. Unable to pay off his latest slut, we will soon learn in a tellall book how US Dictator Wannabe Trump enjoys silicone bimbos and kinky stuff. Not that self proclaimed conservatives here care what a fool he is.

  5. I don’t talk politics at work. I’m surrounded by folks who immediately think you are a moron if you are republican. Since I refuse to talk politics, they assume I am republican. It’s pretty offensive, really..and they tell other religious democrats (that’s my term), that I voted for Trump…and I get comments from them because of it. I think Trump is a joke, and if I asked any of my Reagan-era republican friends if he’d be president a few years ago, they would laugh. But since I won’t openly discuss my politics, they assume I’m a Trump supporting idiot. These same people also think religion is a mental illness..but treat politics like religion…interesting.

    1. I do sympathise with you. Politics and religion should not be a condition of your employment, but if they are, you have some constitutional protections. Sadly, some of the people we work with challenge these things all the time. Our legal system is stuffed with cases where people got into your face about things they really should have just let go, live and let live. But people can, at times, be such insufferable bastards!

    2. Astonishingly prejudicial and presumptuous, rude and close minded.

Be careful not to inherit their traits while you have to hang out with them though.
Some words you spoke seem to have a tone that comes from their realm . Imo.

  6. Soooooo, am I the only conservative here that will honestly say that if I had someone working for me that supported Obama or Hillary, I’d have their asses out of there faster than they could say “Obamacare?” Lotta delicate conSnowflakes out here feeling a bit sensitive.

Did you miss the part where he walks away with $100 million dollars and more power to take his cause to the people than some piddling $10,000 would EVER provide? Providing jobs by way of Anduril… jobs that wouldn’t exist if he had STAYED at Facebook?

Anyone think ol’ Palmer is crying into his millions, “It’s so gee golly gosh darn unfair is what it is. I WOULD NEVER DO THAT TO A LIBERAL!” If you are, you must be a liberal 🙂

    1. And the sign said “Long-haired freaky people need not apply”
So I tucked my hair up under my hat and I went in to ask him why
He said “You look like a fine upstanding young man, I think you’ll do”
So I took off my hat, I said “Imagine that. Huh! Me workin’ for you!”

  7. MDN… It’s bad enough when people turn Apple news into trash political ranting… but to START with a post that has NOTHING to do with Apple and is TOTALLY just inflamatory politics — just fuck right off with this shit.

  8. Moderates and non-American Trump worshippers:

Macrumors.com is a much better place to read Mac news without the Xenophobic trolls ruining the discussion. Over there they moderate their forum.

  9. I really can’t comprehend the way online dialog has deteriorated to this. I read these comments more to try to understand how the people on both sides think, but more so, why they think the way they do. I have to skim most of the comments to glean comments from those thoughtful comments that accomplish that. I always want to ‘hear’ from a few commenters such as @herself and @theloniousmac and a few others because they convey things to think about. I have to skim the trash (vile) comments to get the gist of the context of thinking people comments.

The insults, hating of other positions, are getting us nowhere. I don’t know why either side of the arguments bother. Do any of you such posters really think you are accomplishing anything by spewing crap without reasoning?

  10. This story has generated a lot of comment, most of which has probably been made by people who haven’t read the full article, since it’s behind a paywall.

If anyone can post a link to read the entire article, I’d appreciate it.

  11. Bah! An article written in the Rupert Murdock owned right wing mouthpiece is hardly an objective source. It’s sad that this site is so Trump friendly. I’d prefer it be objective as well, but it’s not.

  12. Donald Trump is NOT conservative. He follows no traditional political philosophy. His ideology is based on what benefits him (and his family and friends) and whatever pops into his head at the moment. The president and his followers are Trumpists, please do no call them conservatives.

    1. Donald Trump = Make America FAKE again !

There are people who do not even notice that he makes a fool of the country in the eyes of the rest of the world!
Such a spoilt child it is ridiculously poignant!

  13. The subtext to this drama is that Luckey Palmer is another one of those civilian Pentagon worshipers who wants to see no distinction between civilian and military about which President Eizenhower warned the US in one of his speeches. The fusing is coming to fruition and Palmer is on the forefront spearheading the effort.

    1. Actually the underlying issue goes to Palmer’s education, or lack thereof. He has strong political opinions that are not rooted in facts. With his millions he has sponsored misogynistic troll farms. An educated person usually develops the ability to work with others who don’t look or act exactly like you do. Needless to say, Palmer is reaping the intolerance backlash that he sowed.

On clickbait MDN however, the alt right troll farm will protect Luckey no matter what he did. None of the extreme right wing commentators here have done anything bit label what they don’t like with a broad brush, then denigrate and insult the straw men they erected. They aren’t even interested in facts. Look at the vapid content of the alt right posts.

Cue the attacks. The same few assholes will declare their imaginary enemy liberal. If you don’t worship Trump, the troll farm will expose their complete disinterest in facts or justice, they want only to play politics.

  14. Thwre isn’t a liberal and a conservative party in the USA. There are crazy spenders, drunk ass spenders, and lying carnival barker spenders. There are those politicians who will dig a deep debt giving promises of entitlements and there are politicians who will rob you blind as they promise to keep you safe from invaders.

But you know that. The biggest thing that Lucky doesn’t get is that the world isn’t white male protestant and rich. Of the 31 republicans voted to the House in 2018, 30 fit that description. Of the 53 democrats elected to the House, 34 are female and 20 are of another ethnic background (off-white?). 10 House races have to be recounted. Rashida Tlaib will be the first muslim woman in Congress. If Young Kim wins, she would be the first Korean-American woman in Congress.

Regardless of party, alt right self proclaimed conservatives act as if this is the decline of America. These people are bitter xenophobic old farts that refuse to understand that multiracial diversity has always been a benefit to America. Lucky, though young, is a homeschooled idiot who has been brainwashed into xenophobic action. Let’s hope Congress becomes more inclusive instead of following the Lucky Trumpist banner.
