        1. My late 2012 iMac i7 is still going strong. I use it every hour of every day. Even with a HDD it still is pretty fast with 24gb of ram. It is still cool, quiet and just fine

I, like you, want a new Mac but under the right circumstances I’d buy another “sealed Mac”.

6 years is the longest I’ve ever used one machine.

        2. Yeah, I’m there in starting to look at Windows over Mac. I primarily use Lightroom, and can’t justify a $5000 iMac Pro, my mini is getting a bit long in the tooth for my use case, and have no real need for an all in one computer.

        3. My iMac can have up to 33gb

It currently has 2 4gb and 2 8gb sticks in it. The 27” model has a little door in the back and it is easy to upgrade. There can be 4 8gb sticks in it.

I may take it apart and upgrade the Hdd to SSD. Or I may just get an external thunderbolt box and put an SSD in that.

My big disappointment in it is that it does not support 4K 60hz displays. Mine in a pre retina mac.

    1. Time for a new computer maker to appear on the world scene. Apple has lost its way where computers are concerned. I am appalled–no new Mac mini, iMac. I can’t go the Windows route. Is there nothing else out there? Hugely disappointed.

  1. Jobs would never have opened a WWDC by introducing anxiety; He would show us the elegant solution right away. The video was over-produced, giving too many nods to those empty super hero or spy movies that depend on fake action.

  2. The first iPhone video had one religious symbol: A person wearing a Moslem head scarf. I saw no cross nor nods to any other religion. This means to me a biased emphasis on Islam. Everything else was secular which I prefer.

        1. That is based on their husband’s interpretation of the Koran and also his insecurity but again the scarf itself is not a symbol of religion and is relatively new compared to the age of Islam itself.

  3. Since Steve passed they’ve just been polishing up the stuff he’d already invented. Do they have any of their own sTeve-ish ideas?. I love Apple but when Tom Cook says “magical!!!” it doesn’t really ring true.

P.s. Remember the pro and iMac models.

  4. I detect a lot of prompted hand clapping. Reminiscent of canned laughter in TV shows. Welcome to the forced delight in the post-Jobs era.

Schiller is doing a very good job at articulating but, if he said that iPhone makes the world’s first true depth image, well, that’s wrong.

The environmentalist woman did not make any key statements that I could walk away with. And then Schiller also talks environmental aspects of iPhone. Why?

Did i see this correctly? Schiller talks iPhone, then woman talks environment, then Schiller returns to iPhone again? If so, no. Should not be.

Ive and Schiller both talk about Smart HDR? No. Should not be.

Too many iPhones. I am exhausted. I remember being energized after Jobs’ keynotes.

“and a completely redesigned Mac,…Pro? No, “…App store.” Shoot.

I think I saw a new iPhone with a notch side-by-side an older model model with no notch. Did iPhone ever have no notch?

  5. Love the watch,,.. absolute game changer with ecg and FDA approval and AHA endourcment.
    And it looks gorgeous !

Love the Xs + max and the increadible core ML

6.1 … nice but i was hoping for more agressive pricing…. let down price wise.

    SAD SE is gone !

And where is the freaking airpower….. mind boggling…. most powerful tech company in the world and still cant deliver what they promissed last year…

    Ordering watch on friday 🙂

Looking forward to ipad and mac event …..

    1. I’ll absolutely be ordering a Series 4 watch on Friday as well, that was impressive and worth an upgrade over the Series 3.

The rest of this felt like it could have been delivered in a press release.

  6. F!
    1. still stupid iPhone X strip so u can’t watch full screen like Samsung could long ago!
    2. still no bigger iPad Pro after 3 years – Apple goes bigger with iPhone but in reverse w/ iPad Pro?!
    3. no new MacBook
    4. no new iMac
    5. no new Mac mini
    6. no “One More Thing”
    7. no Apple-own “Chipolo” object tracker
    8. no Apple Energy residential alternative power producing device ; )

    1. I do. The. difference is affordability. Some of us are not rich and we love Apple products. The few hundred dollars difference allow us to upgrade to a new phone. Especially if one has a spouse and offspring who are asking for the same thing.
