“Attention, Costco shoppers: You can now use Apple Pay at your local warehouse’s checkout counter,” Steven Musil reports for CNET.
“The mobile wallet is now accepted for in-store purchases at all 750 Costcos in the US,” Musil reports. “Costco is also adding the contactless payment terminals to its gas stations, but they haven’t been activated yet, Costco said Monday.”
“Apple Pay works in 24 markets worldwide with over 4,900 bank partners, and Apple plans to add Germany later this year,” Musil reports. “It also said that in the US, eBay is beginning to enable its sellers to accept Apple Pay, and CVS Pharmacy and 7-Eleven will roll out Apple Pay nationwide this fall.”

Unless they changed it a couple days ago, I tried it and it said ‘not authorized’
And why would I use Apple Pay, when it is easier to just get my CC out of my wallet and tap it on the terminal dohickey?
For me, honestly, double-clicking the side button on my Apple Watch and holding my wrist to the terminal is far easier than either one. In addition, for most people, their iPhone is more easily accessed than their wallet.

You must live in a strange world Josh where getting your physical wallet out, opening it up, taking a card out and then swiping it, putting it back in your wallet and then back in your pocket is easier then a double click on your phone on using apple pay on an apple watch.
Just got back from Costco and used Apple Pay for the first time.
I like it! I’ll keep my card in my wallet from now on.
Costco Canada warehouses accept Apple Pay at their terminals for Mastercard and debit, and it works well. What is annoying is that I can never escape Costco without going over the limit 🙂
I’ve been waiting for this day! Now when I go there to save 10 cents on milk and I leave with a big screen TV, I can use Apple Pay!

I had already reported in a comment on another thread way back on August 9 that Costco began accepting ApplePay as of August 8, 2018.
It’s a faulty implementation. It only accepts visa credit cards, not debit. Fucking waste of time.
