Lawmakers gave Zuckerberg a public grilling over the Cambridge Analytica scandal, but he failed to answer many of their queries,” The Daily Mail reports. “The new report is Facebook’s attempt to address their questions, although it sheds little new light on the Cambridge Analytica scandal. However, it does contain multiple disclosures about the way Facebook collects data.”
“Some are unsurprising, such as the time people spend on Facebook, while others may come as a shock to the majority of users,” The Daily Mail reports. “Facebook watches the movements of your computer mouse on-screen when you are interacting with the social network. According to the company, this type of information ‘can help distinguish humans from bots.'”

I have a Facebook account. I really don’t care if Zuckerberg knows what products I buy, what porn I watch or who I vote for. In fact, I always post to MacDailyNews using my Real Name™. One thing that I don’t do is give online merchants my credit card number. I always use a Virtual Account Number, which is a service only offered by CitiBank and Bank of America. Sure do wish Costco and The Home Depot accepted ApplePay, however.

As for monitoring other devices on your network, I find that less likely, but in the worlds of Windoze and Android…? I wouldn’t be surprised! If they said they are doing it, I wouldn’t doubt it!
