Twitter recommends all users change passwords due to ‘bug’

“Twitter has recommended all of its users change their passwords,” CNN reports.

“The company announced on Thursday it discovered a bug that saved user passwords on an internal log without proper encryption,” CNN reports. “Twitter said it has since fixed the issue.”

CNN reports, “Although there is no evidence passwords have been leaked or misused, it is urging its users to update their passwords.”

    So git over there as well and change it!

    There’s a theory making the rounds that both Twitter and GitHub have been using the same faulty software that allowed password storage in-the-clear.
