Noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo leaves KGI Securities

“When it comes to analysts and Apple-watchers, Ming-Chi Kuo is one of the most accurate sources out there; having covered the Cupertino company in his job at KGI since early 2012,” Luke Dormehl reports for Cult of Mac.

“However, it seems that Kuo is moving on to greener pastures for a job with another firm,” Dormehl reports. “Unfortunately for Apple fans, this may mean focusing on non-Apple companies instead.”

“Kuo was KGI’s best known analyst and carved out a big name for himself, thanks to his Apple reporting,” Dormehl reports. “According to Kuo’s LinkedIn profile, he joined KGI in January 2012. (The profile still reflects his KGI position, which he reportedly finished on Friday.)”

  1. Mr Kuo can still make great reports thanks to the contacts he has. He can sell his reports to the highest news bidder and pay the contacts and still keep his new job where its non Apple related news

  2. Can’t we sum up most of these analyst rumors with the following:

    1) Current Apple products aren’t selling well.
    2) Rumored future products will likely be delayed.
    3) Supply chain sources say that parts orders for current products will decrease when new products enter production.

    1. 4). Apple relents again to China’s “privacy” wishes.
      5). Apple forges ahead in pursuit of emoji domination.
      6). Apple’s Cook thinks he’s successfully carrying Job’s innovation torch.
