“When U.S. adults were asked which consumer technology company is the most innovative, Apple Inc. was the clear winner among a list of 12 businesses, chosen by 26 percent of the 2,201 participants in a recent Morning Consult survey,” Sei Chong reports for Morning Consult. “Samsung Electronics Co. came in second, at 14 percent.”
Chong reports, “The top five were rounded out by Google Inc. (11 percent), Microsoft Corp. (9 percent) and Amazon.com Inc. (8 percent).”
“The poll, conducted Jan. 4-5, has a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points,” Chong reports.

I form my own opinions thanks, always have. I don’t let fan-think settle into my thoughts as Fandroid are committed to. Frankly I’ve seen the other side and that’s why many of us are concerned Apple get it right as the tech oasis. The alternative is too compromising to think about.
Whatever problems Apple has had they are not fatal ones from a user perspective – in my opinion. I’ve certainly not had any major or even minor issues with the exception of a properly designed Mac Pro I want to buy. To amplify it that they are fatally issue prone is to pass into the Unreasoning Zone.
Results surely based on Apple introducing the new titan of the mobile industry: the iPhone 8 Plus.

How can Apple be called the MOST innovative consumer tech company when all I hear are analysts snidely saying how Apple has completely fallen behind Samsung and all the Chinese smartphone manufacturers. I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard the phrase, “Apple has completely lost its mojo .” Exactly which company besides Apple is talented enough to change the world a couple of times each decade like the iPhone and iPad did.

All I hear is constant praise about how the Amazon Echo and Alexa are changing American’s lives. Are those digital voice assistants selling all over the planet? I’ve had a Gen 2 Fire TV and an Alexa remote for a couple of years and I can count on one hand how many times I’ve used Alexa. I have a mic on my iMac and I’ve used Google voice search a few times but it has hardly changed my life. What is so praiseworthy about digital voice assistants that can’t be done in other ways? I personally don’t want listening devices all over my house.
I know Apple isn’t the only innovative company on the planet and I’ll happily give credit where credit is due. I’m just tired of hearing about how Apple CAN’T innovate anymore. Innovation doesn’t have to be some huge thing. Innovation can come in small packages, too. I think certain people confuse innovation and game-changing tech too easily.
Certain people keep making some HUGE deal about a foldable smartphone being their dream smartphone. Seriously? Give me the common slab smartphone with twice the battery life in the same thickness and I’ll praise the company that can accomplish that to high heaven. That’s the type of innovation I’m looking for. A foldable smartphone simply doesn’t interest me whether it’s innovative or not.
Except in areas of AI and Siri and alike.
