How to watch Netflix in 4K Ultra HD on your Mac

  1. Big media is afraid of the Mac and until or unless Apple locks it down like iOS or Windows they will tend to cripple it.

Anything that hits the screen of your Mac can be cached, stored and that is what they are afraid of.

  2. The best way to watch 4K video on most of the planet that doesn’t have blazing fast internet is to buy an UHD Blu Ray player.

With net neutrality under rethuglican attack, even if you live where fast internet is offered, expect to pay more for streaming services in the near future. That will definitely hurt ATV since Apple has money and the ISPs want it. The greedy ISPs, now “free to innovate ” will throttle netflix and apple unless they get their increased tolls.

  3. I cannot find one person who reports success using any Mac with Kaby Lake processors in bootcamp Windows mode using edge who actually can get Netflix to run in 4K in an edge browser in bootcamp. So beware making any purchases based on this advice until you find that it actually works.
