MacDailyNews Take: Oh, boy, is it ever snappy!
…ok I’m scared…hopefully nothing is wrong with this update. I hope the Quailty Control team did a good job with this one.
Now you understand why my paradigm has changed regarding Apple…
While we used to be “Zero Day” adopters back in the days of OS 7, 8, 9, and then again with OS X ….
…. the “It Works” approach today is to hold off and wait until the “.2” patch ships.
Great the Braille Display works fine but why the fuck I cannot print anymore with High Sierra? MC5430DL still not working.
my Mac auto updated to 10.13.1 last night. Today, my Apple WATCH won’t unlock my Mac! Microsoft 2.0!
The upgrade had me scared for a moment as in it never rebooted my iMac 27″ 2017, but just slowly faded the screen down to a bizarre low dark glow.
Eventually I hit the power key, and now the installation proceeds. Hopefully it will complete successfully.
Still no extra app for managing iOS apps?

I will definitely be waiting a week.
DON’T DO IT. High Sierra killed my USB card reader. The big problem, it KILLS ADOBE LIGHTROOM and a variety of 3rd party plug ins and there is no current fix. .
I had to revert to Sierra.
Apparently, almost any fool knows to check for app compatibility before initiating an operating system upgrade on a computer. That is just common sense, especially for a computer used for work/business.
How much does Apple pay you to apologize for Apple’s increasingly common Microsoftian behavior?
According to Adobe, “This issue has been fixed in Lightroom Classic CC 7.0.1 and Lightroom 6.13/CC 2015.13 releases.”
It usually takes Adobe about a month to update their software after a major OS update. All of the Creative Suite apps are running perfectly fine, as least for our office of seven pros.
Odd, I use LightRoom on High Sierra and it works very well.
Is this update recommended for iMacs with Fusion drives?
This update also fixed the problem with sharing APFS volumes via NFS.
It took houres to reboot my iMac 21.5 … ! Almost thought there is something very wrong..
still waiting for the version for my fusion drive iMac.
