While accurate, the statement is a bit misleading. Looking at the table, a more accurate statement would be:
Most Android users are still using an OS that is over three years old.
Between Jelly Bean, Kit Kat and Lollypop, (plus the two dinosaurs, Gingerbread and ICS), the combined share is exactly 50% (!!).
In other words, half of ALL Android phones are running an OS that’s more than 3 years old.
Three years ago, we had iOS 8. It didn’t even have multi-tasking, 3D touch, Metal API, Night Shift, News App and many other features all iOS owners now take for granted.
Android’s fragmentation looks and smells more like as shite sandwich.
