“Apple today released the first beta of an upcoming macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 update to [public beta testers], one day after seeding the update to developers and a few days after releasing the new High Sierra operating system to the public,” Juli Clover reports for MacRumors.
“Beta testers who have signed up for Apple’s beta testing program will be able to download the new macOS High Sierra beta through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store.,” Clover reports. “Those who want to be a part of Apple’s beta testing program can sign up to participate through the beta testing website, which gives users access to iOS, macOS, and tvOS betas.”
Clover reports, “macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 appears to focus primarily on bug fixes, performance improvements, security enhancements, and other under-the-hood updates.”

Meanwhile, checking the file system repair utility developers, they’re still apparently on hold regarding updates of their utilities to support APFS. That’s the specific reason why I’ve stayed out of the beta as well as the public release of 10.13 High Sierra.
Meanwhile, I have one Mac that’s been updated with a Fusion drive. So no go yet on that Mac.

Spot-on. New FS that’s not quite fully-cooked, doesn’t support some of their own *very* recent-gen hardware and doesn’t interoperate with any other OS? Good enough for Apple. SHIP IT.
