KGI: Apple iPhone X preorder demand may surpass 40-50 million units

StreetInsider reports, “In a note to clients this morning KGI’s well-regarded analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said they expect Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) iPhone X preorder demand may have surpassed 40-50 million units.”

“The analyst believes the TrueDepth camera may be the main production bottleneck of a iPhone X ramp. ‘The 3D sensing (TrueDepth camera) on iPhone X is composed of a structured-light system, time-of- flight system and a front-facing camera, which represents a far more complex structure than those of rivals. It will therefore be harder to achieve mass production. While we project iPhone X will see output ramp up meaningfully in mid/ late October, tight supply may only start to ease in 1H18F due to strong demand,'” StreetInsider reports. “Kuo sees shipments of iPhone X components likely to ramp up in October.”

  1. In other news…Merkel won a fourth term despite allowing over a million muslims to emigrate to further fuel the country’s export economy. Who wants to be like a declining Japan?

    1. Interesting comment. You seem to imply that Merkel’s Germany is importing Syrians to fill its cheap labor base and, by extension, that native Germans refuse to fill low wage jobs. Is this it?

      1. Cheap labor? They will train them for higher wage skilled jobs as the export economy grows. They successfully imported Turks in the 60’s to combat labor shortages. The nation’s birth rate can’t keep up with labor needs.

        1. The kids of the “successfully imported Turks” are dealing drugs in downtown Berlin, I was approached by them several times earlier this year. The vast majority of the invaders they imported this year are not working, are not capable of working more than menial jobs (low IQ), and don’t even want to work when they can get free money from stupid Germans.

      1. How would including the Greens be a bad thing?

Once again, inclusion and decency won the day against the whining of racists and isolationists. What a nutcase you have to be to deny helping during a humanitarian disaster. Do you honestly believe that Syrians preferred to rush to cold northern Europe? When your home is bombed by a merciless dictator, what would you do?

Bigots: you please identify a racially pure nation and I will show you a failed nation that is economically and culturally f*cked.

    1. Better than that is to buy AAPL while the stock is artificially low. You profit from those speculators.

I’ve often bought at what I thought was a low price and sometimes watched it drop even further, but it has always bounced back and then gone on to new heights.
