What is Apple CEO Tim Cook’s net worth?

“Apple’s stock has fluctuated but largely risen over the past three months leading up to its big presentation, where the company is expected to announce a 10th anniversary phone,” Lisa Marie Segarra reports for TIME Magazine. “That means that Cook, as an Apple stockholder, has benefited from the company’s success. But what is Tim Cook’s net worth?”

“We asked Dan Marcec, director of content at Equilar, a data-focused company that has reported on CEO compensation,” Segarra reports. “625 million… is Marcec’s best low estimate.”

Segarra reports, “In 2015, Cook said he would give away all of his money, a commitment many other wealthy philanthropists — including Bill Gates and Warren Buffet — have made as well.”

MacDailyNews Take: He’ll easily be a billionaire when all is said and done (if he isn’t already via other investments that he can keep private).

      1. I am not fond of botty, but these vicious ad hominem attacks are ridiculous. You can debate about the contents of posts on this forum, but to engage in random drive-by attacks is not good.

In this case, botty merely quoted Jobs, and that quote is very meaningful to me. I wish that more people felt the same way. Far too many people are seeking material wealth to excess at the expense of their fellow human beings. As an example, the recent storms are bringing out the scammers in drives to prey on people who have lost nearly everything.

        1. Nobody appointed you king of morals or high ground Melivin. Nothing is drive by when it comes to the hate spewing, bigotry hate and mysonony laved Shitbot.

You can carry on your righeous ess all you want but that won’t get you into heaven.

shitbot and 1st are a cancer that will and must be eradicated.

  2. Way more than anyone who took over a company on the rise should be. I don’t have an issue with someone who invents something starts their own company making as much money as the can from that venture. I do have an issue with someone who just takes over the office and doesn’t really contribute much more than being a competent manage getting hundreds of millions while the people that do the work get a fraction of a % of that.

    1. I said something similar years ago when Cook took over as CEO. No matter how good Cook may be, the stock compensation offered by the BoD to retain Cool was excessive, in my opinion. Corporate management goes by different rules.

  3. “John Sculley ruined Apple and he ruined it by bringing a set of values to the top of Apple which were corrupt and corrupted some of the top people who were there, drove out some of the ones who were not corruptible, and brought in more corrupt ones and paid themselves collectively tens of millions of dollars and cared more about their own glory and wealth than they did about what built Apple in the first place — which was making great computers for people to use.”

    – Steve Jobs, Statement in The Computerworld Smithsonian Awards Program oral history (20 April 1995)

One could easily transpose Cook for Sculley in this analysis, in my opinion.
