You WILL get microchipped – eventually

“You will get chipped. It’s just a matter of time,” Jefferson Graham reports for USA Today. In the aftermath of a Wisconsin firm embedding microchips in employees last week to ditch company badges and corporate logons, the Internet has entered into full-throated debate. Religious activists are so appalled, they’ve been penning nasty 1-star reviews of the company, Three Square Market, on Google, Glassdoor and social media. On the flip side, seemingly everyone else wants to know: Is this what real life is going to be like soon at work? Will I be chipped?”

“‘It will happen to everybody,’ says Noelle Chesley, 49, associate professor of sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. ‘But not this year, and not in 2018. Maybe not my generation, but certainly that of my kids,'” Graham reports. “Gene Munster, an investor and analyst at Loup Ventures, is an advocate for augmented reality, virtual reality and other new technologies. He thinks embedded chips in human bodies is 50 years away.”

“In the future, consumers could zip through airport scanners sans passport or drivers license; open doors; start cars; and operate home automation systems. All of it, if the technology pans out, with the simple wave of a hand,” Graham reports. “Analysts believe future chips will track our every move… Experts contend consumers will latch onto chips before companies do. Chesley says corporations are slower to respond to massive change and that there will be an age issue. Younger employees will be more open to it, while older workers will balk.”

MacDailyNews Take: It will come sooner than Chesley and Munster think.

“Like it or not, it’s the next logical step. At first, it’ll even be optional. Welcome to a Brave New World. We’re surprised it hasn’t come sooner.” — MacDailyNews, July 24, 2017

      1. Wow — you, bottvinik, and I agree on an issue. And I once thought that day would never happen!

It just proves that this issue will be debated to the extreme. And I hope the day where Borg implants are required and viewed as “normal” never comes to be, not in my lifetime nor in my kids’.

      1. Boy this subject brought the whacky paranoia out of almost everyone.

Let’s see. You’ve got an iPhone, an iPad, an iMac, a driver’s license, a passport, a tax ID, a social security number, a bank account, a 401k, credit and debit cards. Don’t tell me you aren’t being tracked already.

        1. Yes. But do you?

My point is that most people here have already surrendered their anonymity. So the vitriol against an implant is inconsistent with that reality.

        2. but you can. Extreme example. “They” decide to round up all the people with registered machine guns. If you are chipped, there could be a reader on every street corner or entrance to every building that would track you. You would be found pretty quickly

          Extreme I know but….

        3. “My point is that most people here have already surrendered their anonymity.”

How so? Guess you don’t understand the concept of going off grid and unplugging.

“So the vitriol against an implant is inconsistent with that reality.”

Nothing of the kind! The vitriol IS consistent with freedom and individualism and unlike you, will defend to the end …

      1. Well, if it is that easy to steal identities the embed chips make everyone vulnerable, everywhere they go and every second of every day. Criminals will know where the goods are located and everybody carries one. Now they mostly have to guess.

So please tell me embed advocates how this advances the human race? Other than to negate that dreadful 10 second inconvenience of taking out your wallet, passport, drivers license, ID card or leaving them at home …

        1. There is better NFC tech that doesn’t dump the ID on demand. Apple Pay is based on one improvement. But the purpose of chipping humans is simple ID recognition, most particularly for the purpose of selling stuff. It’s too common for marketing people to stop at the point of fulfilling their wishes while ignoring the long term ramifications. [Insert here my usual lecture on ‘Marketing Morons’ vs Marketing Mavens].

  1. From a religious point of view putting a number or label (like 666) on people is really a sign of end of days and the Anti-Christ. Most Christians I would think will not go along with this. Major backlash will set in.

I don’t say this as a religious fanatic myself and theologians would know this best.

    1. the relevant scripture to your post:

      Revelation 13:16
“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:”

      King James Version (KJV)

        1. You are correct. The SJWs simply cannot bear to read or hear ANYTHING with which they don’t agree or believe. Just look at what happened to William Shatner on Twitter.

      1. A purpose for the mark is transactions.

as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

      3. You should read the book of Daniel and Revelations both. They parallel each other.

It’s not a chip or a number tatted on your forehead or mark in your hand. You can get chipped tattooed from head to toes with 666 and it won’t matter.

The mark on the forehead means you have worshiped the false christ and have his work in your forehead meaning mind. The hand part means you are doing the false ones work.

You must not bow to him or when Jesus comes at the 7th Trump you will be in a bad situation.

It’s what is your forehead. Your Brain. Having the real truth sealed in your forehead, that is the mark for Jesus.

Doing Jesus’s work and not accepting Satan as the false one and warning others will cost a lot of us that believe to die. Read Daniel and Revelations. Plus

        Mark 13 the whole Chapter.
        2nd. Thessalonians Chapter 2 Verse 1-4
        Ezekiel Chapter 28 Verse 17-19

When Jesus returns at the 7th. Trump. He expects a spiritual virgin. One who has not worshiped the Anti Christ that means Instead of Christ in the ancient Greek. The false messiah,

Read Mark Chapter 13 All of it. Understand the Generation of the Fig Tree. Jesus said all of this will come to pass before the generation of the fig tree.

I’m not preaching or trying to stand on a soapbox. Simply trying to explain things as best as I currently understand them.

I cannot as a Christian tell you to believe or not. Only to plant a seed. I’m not judging anyone.
We have a judge and its not us here on earth. Not my words but God’s words. I’m just repeating them. You are free to do with the words as you like,

I am not apologizing for Gods words. Which side do you want to be on??

        1. “Which side do you want to be on??”
Well since it is all Bullshit I have no dog in the fight on religious grounds…
Talking Snakes, Sun standing still, prophets laying on dead people and resurrecting them.
          The Gospels are Horus retold

        2. “God’s words”?
As in wiping out whole cultures, except keep the young virgins for yourselves?
As in stoning adulterers to death?
As in five commandements that say, “Pay attention to me and only me”, while the rest say, “Don’t lie, cheat, kill, steal or feel jealous”? Wow, what wisdom those ten rules are!
          And sooooo much more.

    2. From a religious point of view, if Trump told them to “step in line” they’d do it without flinching. So that is NOT the group to expect resistance to come from. As bad as liberals with having STRONG BELIEFS which can be rapidly tossed aside when not convenient.

  2. Get those robots out there and institute a “living wage” then there will be no need to chip someone. Humanity will be free to go where no man has gone before. However, chip everyone, and you enslave us all forever.

  3. it might happen to others, but it won’t happen to me.

anything on a microchip can be put on a credit card sized device and carried in ones pocket. everyone knows this, if they think about it for two seconds. there are lots of things younger people seem to be incredibly foolish about, this is one of them. hopefully they’ll learn……

    1. “Younger employees will be more open to it, while older workers will balk.””

This will cause a flame war, I don’t care.

Older employees have more life experience, know what happens in the real world when the Law of Unintended Consequences (or the Law of Intended but Hidden Consequences Corollary) kicks in.

There is no need for anyone to be tracked. If you behave badly (breaking laws etc ) you will make your own tracks and suffer bad consequences. Hopefully

Otherwise: Leave us alone Do it voluntarily if you have no problem surrendering your freedom. Many young people have never known freedom, so don’t notice.

      Tragic

  4. – “In the future, consumers could zip through airport scanners sans passport or drivers license; open doors; start cars; and operate home automation systems. All of it, if the technology pans out, with the simple wave of a hand,” Graham reports.

    – The Airport Process: A problem created by Federal Government….

    – Open doors, Start Cars: My Apple Watch could do that or iPhone, or just telling Siri…

    – Home Automation: Apple Watch, iPhone or just telling Siri.

Most that will push this will be Socialist Professors, or those that use the DUMB, DUMB argument that if you don’t want to be tracked, what are you hiding?… Ha!

Funny, everyone that says they have nothing to hide, when I ask them if they locked their car door and home door and have passwords on their devices, or if I can go to their place right now and rifle through everything – they tell me to get lost! Hypocrites to the fullest.

Revelation, as it plays out, will be pegged as those “Zrazy religious zealots!” Never mind nearly 2,000 years ago, the mark of the beast was clearly defined, and no one will be able to function in society without it, either in the hand or forehead. Yah, that is coming true right before our very eyes. Shocker!… Not.

  5. I wouldn’t have a problem with having an ID chip fitted so long as it allowed me to truly dispense with things like passport, credit cards, driving licence etc. But I don’t see that happening on a large scale for at least five to ten years.

There’s already loads of ways in which an individual can be tracked or identified surreptitiously and these chips only work over a very short range anyway so they’re not adding a meaningful extra degree of surveillance beyond what already exists.

  6. The fans of microchipping humans completely discount the very large number of fundamentalist Christians who will object to this on religious grounds, and who will make such a stink about it that any discrimination against people who are not chipped (or, conversely, discrimination in favor of those who are) will carry a heavy litigation penalty, and very likely damages.

I’m no fundamentalist (in the common meaning of the word), but personally I want to have control over who gets to know who I am. With a microchip, I have forever given up that control.

    1. @emmayche: I echo your sentiments, but would add that it’s not only Christians who would object. Here’s how the process will unfold:

Phase I — Convince people, particularly those of the younger generation, to have a microchip installed to use it for employee tracking, gate/door access, additional points for career advancement opportunities, etc.

Phase II — Add many from the older generation and the poor by either selling them on a benefit (“Once you’re microchipped, you’ll never have to remember those troublesome passwords again”) or requiring a microchip in order to receive any kind of State aid (Medicare, Welfare, housing benefits, health care, etc.).

Phase III — Pass legislation requiring the forced insertion of a government-designed microchip in order to get a job, buy food or gas, go to a doctor or hospital, or to travel.

Phase IV — Begin forced insertion of behavioral modification microchips to those who are deemed to “need one for the good of society”. Examples of those required to receive a BM chip (how appropriately named) would include botvinnik (because he’s right-wing), CitizenX (because he’s left-wing, me (because I’m centrist, meaning on some issues I’m left-wing and others I’m right-wing), and everyone who is religious (because the State should be the only “god” you have faith in; just look at the history of totalitarian regimes such as the former Soviet Union and North Korea – these are merely two examples).

Phase V — Hunt down any “holdouts” who have not been microchipped. Once apprehended, give them a choice of forced insertion of a BM microchip or death.

Laugh now, if you wish. I am not a tinfoil hat-wearing kind of guy, but this is the way it will happen.

      1. I’m with you up until Phase III. Truth be told, I see the benefits of a permanent biometic ID that is hard to fake, and would not automatically oppose getting chipped.

It might not even BE a chip, it could be facial recognition or retina scans of some type (as in “Minority Report”). And I don’t see the government HAVING to track down hold-outs.

Once the biometric system is in place, you’ll be forced to the fringe of society if you don’t buy in to the program. Think of those today who choose to live off the grid. They’ve self-chosen to be holdouts. No one is tracking them down; they’re such a small minority it doesn’t really affect the general population…

      2. I submit that all of you points will one number ranking lower. #1 will be tracking your children-for whatever purpose. Kidnapping, runaways, where & with who they hang around with, ad nauseum.

  7. PHASE 1:
Offered as a beneficial convenience for those who can afford it.

    PHASE 2:
Subsidize it for those that can’t afford it.

PHASE 3: Mandate it for everyone.

    PHASE 4: Logan’s Run.

  8. It’s a new world, baby!

The chip is ultimately an access device to goods and services. It’s also a monitoring device to track population movements and their behavior. Oh, maybe not this basic chip, but future iterations with increased capabilities will be. Of course, the 17 gov. spy agencies love this as it makes their spy jobs easier because it allows the corporation to incur the expense to lay out the spy infrastructure.

People are so beholden to the corporation that they will submit or else,…or else lose the job because it will become mandatory after this initial voluntary period – call it a test run – is over. But voluntary implantation is really compunction because the corporation will have a list of those who comply or don’t comply.

The corporation wants everyone on board to avoid the expense of maintaining two groups. I think those who don’t comply as in Wisconsin must know that they will have at least a slight disadvantage for promotions and pay increases due to a perceived disloyalty to the company which would a major incentive to get on board.

    RESIST! RESIST! RESIST!

  9. Much hemming and hawing about very little. Christian Scientists and the like won’t do it. People paranoid about government snooping won’t do it. It will never be mandated. But many will opt in for the enormous benefits it will bring, which oddly, only a few here are even discussing.

I think it’s possible to come up with a checksum routine on your biometrics that would make it difficult to replicate your implant and be able to use it.

The free and unfettered access it will bring will be a liberation from long cues, barred doors and endless security checks.

  10. I am an agnostic but was raised in Evangelical Christianity. The mark of the beast that is detailed in Revelation is described as something that without people will be unable to buy sell or trade. It also promises that those who accept the mark will be condemned to eternal damnation. Good luck selling a chip to that crowd.
