“Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson put another project on his plate: advertising for Apple,” Julia Zorthian reports for Fortune.
“His busy schedule is the subject of an Apple ad that just dropped, titled The Rock x Siri: Dominate the Day,” Zorthian reports. “It may only last 3 minutes and 45 seconds, but Johnson teased the ad as the ‘biggest, coolest, sexiest, funnest (is that a word?) movie ever’ in a tweet on Sunday before its release.”
Zorthian reports, “Watch the new ad [below] to see Johnson circle the globe to knock out items on his to-do list, all with the help of Siri, Apple’s voice assistant.”

MacDailyNews Take: When you have virtually unlimited funds, you might as well spend them. It’s good to see Apple promoting Siri, that’s for sure! It makes perfect sense for Apple to work on bolstering Siri’s public image as much as possible ahead of HomePod’s launch later this year.

Clint Eastwood would have made a better president than Donald Trump. He had actual experience in politics, running for mayor of Carmel, California, and won on a pro-business platform. He has directorial experience, which Trump lacks big time.
Trump is trying to direct a sequel to his reality-show masterpiece, The Apprentice and so far – it sucks. Because he is trying to direct instead of just being the star. He just doesn’t “get” direction, which is very common among actors that try their hand at it, and fail. Eastwood is one who does “get” it, has proven that he gets it, and still has acting chops but knows when to turn over a scene to a better actor than him.
Clint Eastwood is a man to be respected for standing up to the same sorts of social idiocy that Donald Trump does, but a man with the common sense to keep his mouth shut about the physical appearance of world leaders, as if they were celebrities on the Hollywood red carpet. Being a gossip and a tattle does not improve any president’s ratings. Trump once knew that and forgot it.
Maybe it’s old-timer’s disease, or maybe winning went to his head like cold ice cream, who knows, but it’s disappointing. He needs evocative speech writers like William Safire, too bad that guy is dead. Speech writers can salvage a crappy presidency. Unfortunately Trump prefers to speak for himself. Tht might not be the best thing on any given day.

Why not? He’s likable, has good delegation skills, gathers amazing people around him, has great presence and won’t be ‘bendy’. I’d vote for him if he ran. Despite his physique, he would be a type of leader you want to follow not because you are intimidated, but because you know he can and will return the trust you place in him.
And he can speak English coherently, unlike the current blowhard, content-free, man-baby.
