23 reasons why the world’s in love with Apple

“Discussing with music industry executives about starting a streaming service, Tesla Inc. may be trying to creep into Apple Inc.’s space,” Breana Noble writes for TheStreet.

“But the Cupertino, California-based technology company that revolutionized how people consume music with iTunes is on the upswing,” Noble writes. “With a stock price that is up nearly 26% year to date, Wall Street is waiting with anticipation for the fall when Apple’s new line of products hit the shelves.”

“With a history of people lining up for hours outside of stores and products selling out within hours, Apple has built a seemingly unshakable brand name,” Noble writes. “Here are 23 reasons people love Apple.”

    1. Your warning came to late for me. The pictures were great, but the one sentence descriptions was woefully shallow and did nothing to illustrate the differentiation of Apple’s products over the competition….

    2. That wasn’t an article. Article (on news sites or in newspapers) is when a journalist researches a story, interviews people and reports.
This was a “listicle”. A lazy pseudo-journalist needs to submit 600-word text to the editor, so he comes up with a list of things. It doesn’t even need to be a round number — all he needs to do is come up with some items, then describe each of them and find Getty stock photos that illustrate them. Once done, he counts the items and puts the number of them in the headline (“18 reasons why Bostonians are better at hailing a cab than New Yorkers”), write a short intro paragraph and the listicle is ready for clicks!

  1. If there are 23 reasons why the world is in love with Apple, then there must be 123 reasons why the U.S. is in love with Tesla. Why? Because Teslas just work. Or maybe because Tesla can’t make enough cars to fill the demand. Or possibly because Elon Musk is the CEO who has filled Steve Jobs shoes.

It’s fairly obvious Tesla has replaced Apple as the most respected company in the U.S. Tesla is now said to have more innovation than Apple ever had. There’s nothing but gushing love and admiration for Elon Musk and Tesla. Paradigm shift. It’s a darn shame Tim Cook can’t do anything about it.
