Latest leaks suggest Apple’s iPhone 8 will have an edge-to-edge display

“We may have just been given our best look yet at the iPhone 8,” Phoebe Weston reports for The Daily Mail. “An Apple expert has leaked computer assisted images of the much-anticipated handset, due to be released in September.”

“Benjamin Geskin’s images – posted on his Twitter page – support claims that the front of the phone will be almost all display with only a lip at the top for a camera and sensors,” Weston reports. “There appears to be no Home Button and instead the new release looks like it will have Touch ID fingerprint scanner embedded in the main display.”

“The computer-assisted design (CAD) drawings show a dual camera system with one camera on top of the other and a flash between the two,” Weston reports. “Slashleaks also leaked images of the iPhone 8 in flip cases a few days previously. The design also corroborates the images released by Mr Geskin.”

  1. Looks amazing to me if this is real.
Love the clean purpose-driven design that is a staple of Apple design.
The lack of superfluous design flourishes is what always makes Apple design stand out. And what makes Samsung Galaxy Android junk reek of gaudiness.

    1. What is amazing about an edge to edge display with distorted edge viewing?

How is it clean design when Apple isn’t offering anything that either Samsung or another manufacturer didn’t already offer?

Admit it, there just aren’t that many things Apple can do with a brick. Every device coming out of Foxconn looks extremely similar.

If someone photoshopped an Apple logo on this, the fanboy club would be fawning all over it.

    1. Well I’d get over it because it doesn’t appear at the liver move it with you Jony around. The power button is in the worst location that it could possibly be it would’ve been better on the back of the phone

  2. I am not sure what to think of the edge-to-edge display. How can I protect the screen when I drop my iphone? I’ve always made sure I have a iPhone case that covers the front edges well. And I’ve dropped my iPhone 6S many times on wood, tile and concrete. I don’t need an edge-to-edge display and not being able to protect it is not what I want for a $1000 iPhone.
