“With iPhone 8 mass production inching closer with each passing week, the number of iPhone 8 leaks we’ve come across has increased markedly over the past few months,” Yoni Heisler reports for BGR.
“While it’s no secret that Apple tends to test a myriad of different iPhone designs in the build-up to a new model release, the consistency of the leaked photos we’ve seen over the past few weeks alone suggest that the highly anticipated iPhone 8 will easily live up to the hype,” Heisler reports. “Aside from an edge-to-edge OLED display with minimal bezels all around the device, it appears that Apple has figured out a way to embed its Touch ID sensor into the display itself.”
Heisler reports, “Photos of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8 are certainly great, but noted leaker Benjamin Geskin recently upped the ante by uploading the first known video of what will presumably be Apple’s final iPhone 8 design.”
OMG….when I saw this, it occurred to me for the first time….What if Apple is also prepping us (design wise) for a future iPhone where there is an additional display on the back. It could be for any number of possibilities: low power display mode for persistant info; a second sort of multitasking display for related page/info on the front; other ideas you can think of…..?!
Those of us with Jet Black iPhone 7 and 7 Plus units already have had much of this experience. The slightly indented Home button and the Lightning post are our clues when fishing around in pockets and purses trying to pull the iPhone out right side up.
Front/back…top/bottom…there are relatively few obvious visual or tactile clues. I will likely be flipping it around every time I pull it from my pocket. But that is an inconvenience that I am willing to accept.

I know I can tell from the buttons, camera, and speaker… but they are very similar. Hope that is not a bad thing.
