    1. During the terms of Obama, the Dems had net losses of 62 House seats, 9 Senate seats, 12 Governorships and 958 Statehouse seats. Were all of those elections also victimized by your Russian conspiracies?

        1. That’s right. Keep that up, please. It’s working so well for you!

During Obama’s eight years in office, as Dem/Lib/Progs looked down their noses at “flyover country,” Democrats lost more than 1,042 seats in state legislatures, governorships, and the U.S. Congress, not to mention the 2016 presidential election.

Democratic U.S. Senate seats dropped from 55 to 46, their share of House seats fell from 256 seats to 194, and Democratic governorships fell from 28 to 16. All told, Democrats have shed 63 House seats, 10 Senate seats and 12 governorships.

          The GOP owns:
          1. The Presidency
          2. The Senate
          3. The House
          4. The Supreme Court for decades to come

Please, keep up the snide remarks, Dem/Lib/Progs! Keep calling everyone racists – long after you’ve already destroyed the meaning and power of the word through widespread misuse.

Never forget that you’re so much smarter than everyone else, so keep it up! It’s working great!

        2. Learn to read. It’s not that hard. Putting together concepts is a bit harder but let me help you.

“During the Obama Administration, racism rose” Try to think hard. Reflect on the chorus of racism that happened for 8 years. Mostly from republicans. Make of that what you will.

  1. Way to go Apple. I’m sure everyone from the MDN community is happy with that, well except those that have the stars and skid marks showed up their ass so far they can’t talk about anything else.

    1. I’m not mad at you any more, not that you care. But I remain curious about your word stylings, which indicate a nimble mind at play, particularly when dealing with dark subjects.. what, for example, do you mean by stars and skidmarks? Is that like the racist stars and bars? Go ahead and tell me—I don’t care to shrink from reality, except when my own brain tricks me; but that’s what friends are for—to shake one’s shoulder, to arouse one from her pleasant delusions.

      1. Hello Herself,

I’m glad that you are not mad of me, and actually I do care, I care a lot about you. I also care a lot about free speech and that’s partially where the stars and skid marks originate. It’s been my experience that often during attempts civil discussion the replies from people from your nation are as follows:

        1. Insult the person (ad hominem).
        2. Use smoke and mirrors to distract from the topic.
        3. Never ever address the topic at hand.

As a result of these observations I decided what is good for the goose is good for the gander so I came up with my own terms to insult the person I’m debating, not that I like it but if they can dish it out they should be able to take it unless of course they are insecure bullies. So I coined a couple of terms to describe the people of your nation during such debates and as a result a lot of people apparently went and complained to MDN about it and I ended up being banned. So much for a level playing field. It took a bit of communicating with MDN and to their credit they took away the ban, in exchange I told them I would never use those words at this forum again. I also said to myself that as a result I’d not mention by name Apple’s home nation (unless it’s a quote), not until that country cleans up their act.

That left me with the task of finding colorful and acceptable terms to use when describing your nation and the stars and skid marks works quite well as an analogy. It’s a reference to your national flag, which is sometimes referred to as the stars and stripes. Like most flags it’s a symbol of national pride and a reflection of the state of the nation, most flags fly high and mighty most times, half mast when there is a disaster. Taking national pride to a brain washed patriotic extreme of arrogance and a total disregard for other those under other flags is like having the national flag, flag pole and all shoved up the ass. Deep, so deep that if one were to remove it it would be the stars and skid marks.

More importantly with the flag showed up there it no more room for anything else but blind arrogant patriotism. The blindness of course stems from the nation’s fear and the bullying that results from that insecurity. There is a movie that I find expresses what will eventually happen. It’s called Red Cliff and just before the big battle, the wife (Xiao Qiao) of the viceroy comes over to beg the invading commander for peace and to delay his attack so that the wind can change in their favor. She proposes the tea ceremony to the commander, who accepts and thus the delay is successful. Her comment at the end, once the wind has changed is insightful.

“Xiao Qiao: [pouring too much tea] Your Highness. Don’t you see your true self reflected in this tea? Your heart is overflowing with ambition. It’s too full to let other people in. You’ve carried this full heart to Red Cliff. Someone here shall pour that heart onto the floor.”

I hope you can see the parallels of the analogy.

This is where Apple becomes pertinent because that company still maintains ethics and morality. Look at the recent announcement by Apple regarding the Mac Pro. They said they goofed, they pointed out where they goofed, and they laid out a game plan to rectify the situation. That takes a lot of integrity. Now compare that to your nation’s not so recent adventures in torture and justice denial, specifically at the Guantanamo on the Bay resort. One of your presidents started it up. The next president tried unsuccessfully to close it, failed but managed to free a lot of those held in captivity there. Your current president, well who knows what he’ll end up doing but from the looks of it, not much.

Perhaps you can imagine what would happen if your nation took Apple’s approach, denounced tortured, freed those detained, closed the place down and apologized to the world for such barbaric uncivilized behavior. That would be reflective of a nation that I could respect once again, but as it stands your nation continues to be a bullying threat to humanity. It is a dark subject indeed that cloud of anger and fear that hangs over your nation like a shroud, and your nation’s actions are simply fuel to the fire.

I spend my time at another site for the more enlightened subjects, and I do extremely well there.

        1. Thank you for spending time to gently counsel me. I may have a checkered past, and hang out with questionable associates, and traffick in dangerous ideas; yet you offer redemption. Did you like Paul Newman as Judge Roy Bean?

        2. I don’t think I’ve seen that movie but I might have read a Lucky Luke episode with reference to him.

Thanks for reading. I don’t offer redemption I just point out that it’s available.

        3. As a child, my dreams were shaped by Hergé (Georges Remi) whose boy hero Tintin, accompanied by a coterie of unlikely oddballs, undertook exotic assignments and made momentous discoveries. As a transplant to the U.S. I found kindred dreamstuff in Carl Barks and his McDuck explorers, forerunners of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

It was the allure of science, the thrill of adventure, powered by a sense of justice, that made children like me care about some day becoming moral warriors ourselves. Ruefully, I can’t honestly claim to be one of those now. Today the idea of morality is under some kind of siege, and I don’t understand it. All I can do is carefully refrain from signing up with anyone, in case they turn out to be the devil.

  2. I love your posts thank you. The beauty of Tintin is that he just wasn’t a two dimensional hero. He often did not just go after imaginative bad guys from another planet, he went after real evil beings, like Al Capone, Rastapopoulos and others involved in the opium and drug trade and counterfeiters. Plus he did it on a level playing field, no super powers for this guy, he went man to man. My only regret is that he never married, it would have been a great family tradition.

With all due respect morality is alive and well on the free and civilized world. For example Iceland has set to tackle gender pay gap with world’s toughest law. This is the kind of leadership that the free and civilized world enjoys today and depends on for the future.

Your statement of refraining from signing up with anyone is a tell tale sign of trusting no one until they give you a reason to be trusted. What a contrast to trusting someone until they give you reason not to trust them, say by waving the stars and skid marks.

You, are responsible for your inner child’s light. Shine on, there are others that do.
